The Second part of the Chunin Exams were finished and done with as Rin smiled tiredly at her two teammates.
"You look like shit," Yona commented with a grin, as Rin rolled her eyes.
"Right back at you," she smiled.
"Is this some weird kunoichi moment I'm intruding upon?" Haruto asked, scratching his head, "because I'm starving as hell and would like to eat food before my body combusts itself."
They walked out of the place—given one month to train for the last part. Rin knew what she needed to do—to help both Itachi and Shisui and show them the results of their actions. But as Yona and Haruto, she felt Mizuchi nudge inside of her seal.
"Take a break," he advised, "you have one month—that's plenty of damn time. This is one of the memories you can't miss—stop living like your life is going to end tomorrow—you are given a new, fucking chance. How many people can receive that in their life time? Use this time to bond with your friends, Rin—in this life, you're a fourteen year old—act like it."
"It doesn't feel like it," Rin whispered, "this mind does not feel like one a fourteen year old should have. Remember what Obito taught me in the other timeline?"
Mizuchi sighed, "How can I fucking not? He was still a bastard in that time line."
Everyone in her family had died—the entire Akatsuki was gone. Cold hearted murderers to shinobi and to her, just a family. Then in that case, she cried for those cold blooded murderers.
"Fine," she said to Mizuchi, "I'll take a break just to make you happy."
"Good," Mizuchi grumbled, "Because I need some rest too—that damn orange haired Otogakure nin had the nerve to touch my damn chakra."
All were oblivious to the coming disaster.
