There were four figures on the hills, their paths aimed towards the village. One was a broad shouldered man with shaggy white hair who was trying to surreptitiously look at the woman beside him in a not so polite manner. The woman beside him was gritting her teeth, trying to ignore this. She was a blonde woman with brown eyes who had an impressive figure. Beside her was a pig held by a short black haired woman. Next to her was a beautiful brown haired young woman who was carrying quite a lot in her pack and next to her was a head of long green hair. Rin Uchiha tightened the cloak around her form as she looked at the familiar green gates of Konoha."It's been so long," she thought, feeling a shiver of nervousness within her chest. She had learned so much, almost at this point, became someone she didn't recognize looked back in her reflection.
Rin Nohara threw herself in front of her best friend's jutsu, killing herself for her own village. The unsung hero.
Rin Uchiha, who was she?
Inside, Mizuchi stirred as he raised his head. "Fuck, are we here already?" He asked, yawning.
Rin nodded.
The young woman beside her, Keiko, shifted her pack. She was a baker who was searching for new opportunities and came to work at Konoha. The two had bonded over their mutual love for sweets and dango and the latter wanted to accompany them on their journey.
Keiko whistled. "This is Konoha—looks bigger than I thought."
"Ah, it's nice to be home," Jiraiya sighed, his cheeks reddening in perverted thoughts as he made a note to visit the hot springs as soon as he can.....for research purposes of course.
Tsunade had been staring at what she once called home. How long ago was it that she left? When Dan and Nawaki....her hands shook violently. Blood. She could see it all over her hands. She tore her gaze away, Shizune noticing her actions. She placed a hand on her shoulder, but Tsunade just closed her eyes and shrugged it off.
The only reason why she came back was because Jiraiya practically begged her to help us with the Konoha Hospital. That and she needed to help make the report to the Third Hokage about the Uchiha. The guards straightened respectfully when they saw the Sannin as Rin stiffened. Tsunade simply led her apprentice towards the Hokage Tower along with Jiraiya and Shizune while Keiko parted ways to get settled at the new bakery.
Rin walked with the two Sannin, as Mizuchi grumbled about his beauty sleep.
The ANBU and several jonin paused to stare at them. Rin of two years ago would have flushed under the pressure. Rin of now did not even flinch. Tsunade's training from hell was a major factor—there was no room for timidness when training with the Slug Princess.
The guard announced their arrival as the Sandaime Hokage looked upon them, his eyes crinkling as he saw his former students. "Ahh—Tsunade, Jiraiya, it has been too long." The Hokage shifted his gaze towards her. He smiled softly, "You have grown much, I hope Tsunade and Jiraiya haven't been too hard on you."
"No they haven't, sir," Rin replied, "I have improved much under their tutelage."
The Hokage smiled at that. "That is always good to hear," he said kindly before he turned towards his students as they gave a full report upon her training. Jiraiya complimented upon her determination and how she successfully learned how to harness Mizuchi in combat while using the seal and Tsunade was rather blunt. To her embarrassment, Tsunade began with medical ninjutsu and Rin's severe lack of talent in that area and grudgingly admitted that she had improved in chakra control.
The Hokage listened to these reports, his hands folded as he studied Rin's face thoughtfully.
"Do you think she is ready?" He questioned.
