8. The Deal

The Kumogakure kunoichi stepped, swifter than her raiton jutsu into the cave. She waited, her katana sheathed before she heard the slow sound of footsteps.

  "I see you have not shrank away from our deal," a voice curled in the air, taking form of a pasty face and dilated yellow pupils. Orochimaru laughed hoarsely as the kunoichi looked at him on something bordering disgust but she inclined her head towards him.

  "I am willing to do anything to have my revenge on Amegakure—" her fists curled, "their shinobi were the ones who slaughtered my family."

  "And so your revenge is to beat them in the Chunin Exams?" He chuckled, eyes raised.

  The kunoichi's stance stiffened as the air practically crackled with energy, her eyes dark and foreboding. They were filled to the brim with absolute hatred. "I don't give a fuck about those exams!" She hissed, "I saw my mother dying before my eyes—my father trying to protect me by shoving me into a closet before he was slaughtered too. I was the sole survivor, and I had to bury my entire family! Do you think any seven year old needs to do that?! I will do anything for revenge! Their humiliation is why I entered these exams—to crush them underneath my heel before I go after all of them before each and everyone of them lies beneath me in their own blood. So if you're going to help me, I suggest you do it now!"

  Orochimaru leered as he chuckled, "You are certainly persistent. Very well—come—" he led her to a section in the cave before pressing it so that it revealed another of his labs.

He advanced down the long hall before he flipped a switch to show the broken form of a blonde kunoichi, her arms battered and her stomach bleeding. The headband of Kumogakure glistened in her dried blood.

  "Yugito—-" The kunoichi let out a breath of excitement, "you've caught her?"

  Orochimaru grinned, "Edo Tensei—she didn't stand a chance. Now, if you are truly willing, we shall seal the Nibi inside of you, making you a jinchurriki."

  The kunoichi looked down at her fellow village shinobi. There was a time she once admired her. The time has long since passed. For a moment, perhaps she felt guilt piercing her lungs but she soon breathed again, her mind notoriously clear. She remembered how that damn green haired bitch beat her in the second stage of the Chunin Exams. After all she had trained—she was beaten by a measly brat. Her fist curled. Eyes turned fiery with hatred. She needed to get stronger. She must.

  "Do it,"she said through gritted teeth as Orochimaru smiled his predatory grin before making the necessary preparations.

  The suitable pawn for the destruction of Konoha—one willing to kill her own kinswoman in the process.
