Rin walked around the very clean and polished floors of the Konoha Hospital. She skirted around the busy forms of the nurses before she knocked on the door to the office. "Come in," Tsunade barked as Rin entered, her right hand carrying a bottle of sake.
Tsunade looked up from her "boring and useless paperwork" as she called it and looked at her student. The green haired, young jonin smiled timidly before holding up a bottle of sake. "Since Shizune is out right now, I thought you might as well get some of this before she comes back and yells at you—"
Tsunade felt a bit of a smirk cross her face. "How did you get it?" She asked, accepting the bottle, "you're underage."
Rin rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly. "I have my ways—besides, it was a present for my shishou—"
Tsunade rolled her eyes. Genjutsu. Of course.
"Breaking rules left and right, huh, Uchiha?" She grinned as she took out a cup and poured some liquid into it before she downed it in one shot before wiping her lips.
Rin Uchiha took the seat across from her as the two conversed in several matters—from the hospitals to Rin's own genin team. Rin remembered when she had first met Tsunade—they had both come a long way since then as in terms of the mentor and student relationship.
"Rin Uchiha!" she squared up as the blonde woman glared at her, her eyes stern and filled with a scary aura.
"Hai!" Rin answered, as she took one look at the skinny, green haired genin.
"Jiraiya told me that you are here to learn medical ninjutsu and better chakra control."
Rin nodded, as she scoffed. "I need more than just a pitiful wish to learn!" She said, "what is the real reason?"
She swallowed, but forced herself not to shake before the intimidating Sannin. "I heard Rin Nohara, my mother, was a medical nin, I—-"
"You can forget it if you are just curious about what it is, my training requires inhuman dedication!" She barked.
"Hashirama did a good job on that one—" Mizuchi grumbled, "Who pissed in her cereal?"
She was one of the Sannin, Tsunade, and a temper to match. But Rin knew better. She was testing her, after all, even if she had Mizuchi sealed inside of her, she had to admit that she did not look the part of a kunoichi. Rin looked up, activating her Sharingan, the blood red irises doing a good job of making her look less weak. She had to be testy, she had to match her own attitude if she wanted to survive. "I came from the future where war was all I knew," Rin said loudly, her fists shaking at her sides as she remembered the deaths, "through all of that, all I did was kill and kill and watch those I loved die, while I stood, helpless. I came to you so I won't have to feel it again—feeling weak and pathetic and not being able to save those I love. So, trust me when I say that I won't be stopped by a stubborn woman like you, no matter how powerful you are; I will honor my mother's legacy and protect the village that she died for!"
Silence and heavy breathing followed her words, as Tsunade looked at the green haired girl, her eyes slightly less hard, but by no means, soft. "Huh—-" She raised her eyebrow, a sudden menacing grin crossing her face, "I have to admit, I thought you were just a pathetic doormat who happened to have the Second Hokage's teacher sealed inside of her, but it appears I stand corrected. Mind you, you still look pathetic, but when I'm through with you, I think we can make it work. Come at six o'clock sharp tomorrow morning."
