BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
I groaned at the sound of my alarm clock. It was early on a Saturday morning, Dimitri was crazy! Did he even get to sleep every night? I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. Reluctantly, I pulled myself out of bed feeling a cold air breeze. I was so warm underneath my sheets, and now I'm freezing my ass off. More than anything I wanted to climb back into bed. But I knew Dimitri would hunt me down and be pissed that I didn't show up for morning practice.
I quickly took a shower and than got dressed into a pair of sweatpants, and a black t-shirt that was tight around my cleavage. It would probably drive Dimitri insane! I grabbed my gloves and all my other equipment and headed off. I was already five minutes late. Dimitri knew I was late every morning, so what's the difference now? He used to say I was slacking off, but he just gave up trying to get me here on time. That didn't stop him from being angry and telling me in a stern tone that I was late.
When I entered the gym, he was talking to people I don't know. There was an elderly women, a little boy, a girl my age and a woman closer to Dimitri's age. Who the hell were they? I wondered. He saw me come in and gave me a smile.
"Rose," he nodded. "This is my family," he said, shocking me. I looked around and then smiled. "This is Viktoria," he pointed to the girl around my age. "My mother Olena," the elderly women. "Paul, and my sister Sonya. I have another sister, but she couldn't make it." Dimitri smiled. "Oh, and over there is my Grandmother, Yeva." I waved at her, and smiled.
"It's very nice to finally meet you, Rose. We've heard so much about you," Dimitri's mother said. I was still in shock that I was meeting Dimitri's family. And that I was late. Great first impression, Rose, I thought to myself sarcastically.
I glanced over at Dimitri and smiled. "I hope there all good things, comrade," I smiled. He let out a chuckle and that's when Viktoria stepped forward.
"Rose, it's so nice to meet you! When I heard Dimitri was mentoring you, I was surprised. But then you killed those two Strigoi! Wow! Dimitri's so lucky!" She said happily. "Can I see your molnija marks?" She almost begged.
I turned around and took my hair away from my neck. "They hurt a lot to get." I was going to say something like, 'it hurt like a bitch,' but there was a child, Paul, in the room and I didn't want Dimitri's family not to like me.
"I wish Dimitri would mentor me," she fluttered her eyelashes at him.
"Vika, you know I'll help you train. But Rose is hard enough to handle as it is. If I had to mentor the both of you? I would go insane," he joked. Dimitri actually made a joke!
"Hey!" I said punching his arm lightly. "I'm not that bad," I said.
"No, no you're not." He smiled.
"Rose! Are you Dimitri's girlfriend?" Paul asked completely shocking me.
"Paul!" Sonya said with a little embarrassment in her voice.
I looked up at Dimitri, his guarding mask was now on. "No, I'm not Dimitri's girlfriend." I said with a smile not wanting to show that I did want to be his girlfriend. I was in love with the guy.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Viktoria asked me. The Belikov get to personal questions really fast...
"Nope." I said popping the 'p'. Viktoria just nodded and Olena and the rest of them looked at me with a smile.
