I know I haven't updated in a while. I've been busy with my summer. I wanted to let everyone know that I probably won't be updating as often because I'm going away and won't have any internet access. I will, however, write them and when I get back, I'll update them.

I hope everyone's having a fabulous summer!

Dimitri's POV

After I was done practicing with Rose, I headed over to see Vika because I felt terribly by the way I had been pushing her away. She's my little sister and I needed to pay attention to her. Before I headed to Vika's dorm, I did pick up some chips and drinks from the cafeteria to share with her. And I also picked up Victoria's favorite movie, The Book Theif. I didn't know if she still liked it because we barely talked and never saw each other. Usually, I was to busy being a guardian.

I knocked on Victoria's door and it swung open almost instantly. Vika was wearing these weird bunny pj's and she looked quite tired. Her eyes widened with excitement when she saw me.

"Dimka!" Vika yelled, throwing herself into my arms. I almost dropped the bag full of things. "What are you doing here?" Suddenly, her smile dropped. "Rose isn't here..."

"I'm not here for Rose, I'm here for you. I haven't been treating you the best and I'm sorry about that. I love you," I said to her.

"I love you too," she smiled. "Come in. Just warning you, Rose isn't the most organized person," she laughed.

I looked at Rose's side of the room and it was a disaster. Clothes were everywhere, including underwear and bras. I shook my head. Vicktoria's side of the room was pretty clean, but not the best. We sat down on the couch in the room and put the disk in the TV. Vicktoria instantly went for the chocolate bar. Then the movie started.

"Dimka, stop falling asleep. I need to talk to you about something," I heard a complaining voice say, instantly waking me up.

"What is it?" I asked in a tired voice.

"I know you're in love with Rose. What are you going to do about it?" Vika asked, shocking me.

"What? I'm not going to do anything, Vika. She's my student and I'm her teacher. Also, she's underage," I frowned.

"Who cares, Dimitri. Someday, you might look back on this and regret not grabbing Rose by the face and kissing her like you should be doing! She's not going to wait forever, Dimka. She'll eventually move on and I'm betting it will be with Adrian!" Vika yelled.

"I know... but I can't risk mine and Rose's future over this. Whatever was between Rose and me is over... forever."

Rose's POV

"Rose, we need to find you a date for the upcoming dance on Friday. You can't go alone like you did last time," Lissa said with a large smile on her face.

"I don't need a date because I'm not going."

Lissa gasped.

"You better be lying, Rose! You're going because it'll be fun. You've been acting socially awkward for too long and people are starting to notice."

I groaned because she wasn't dropping the dumb subject. "Lissa, I love you but sometimes you drive me insane. I don't have time to go to a dance because Dimitri has me really busy with practice and school," I explained.

"When have you have cared about school?" Lissa snorted.

"Never. If I want to be your guardian, then I have to pass school. I'm doing this for you otherwise I'd probably drop out," I joked. "What time is it?" I asked.

"It's nine fifty-eight," Lissa answered.

"Shit!" I yelled grabbing my things.

"What are you doing?" She questioned.

"Dimitri said I had to be back by ten! And he'll know because he's hanging out with Vicktoria and he'll one hundred percent wait until I get back to make sure I'm okay," I yelled running out the door.

It was pouring outside and I was freezing my ass off so I ran extremely fast. I knew I wouldn't make it in time for Dimitri but at least I tried. I made it to my dorm room five after ten and swung the door open. Dimitri was sitting on the couch with his phone out and Vicktoria was fast asleep on her bed.

"You're late but only five minutes so I'm actually quite impressed," he whispered so he wouldn't wake Vicktoria up. I started to shiver because of how cold I was. "You're all wet and cold," Dimitri said and walked up to me. He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my body.

"Thanks. It's raining out," I told him while looking up into his deep brown eyes.

Dimitri reached out his hand and rested it on my cheek and wiped away a few drops of water. I leaned into his touch and my lips touched his hand making him freeze his stroking.

"You better get some sleep, you have school tomorrow, Roza," Dimitri said and kissed the top of my forehead.

"Good night, comrade," I smiled. Dimitri smiled back and let go of me.

I watched Dimitri leave and instantly my heart ached for him to come back to me. Dimitri was right to walk away because I don't know how much longer I could've gone without kissing him.

Vicktoria's POV

"Vicktoria, leave," Dimitri's strict guardian tone said to me. I felt my eyes tear up that he didn't want to spend any time with me. He only had time for Rose and being a guardian. I felt jealous of Rose at that moment because she spends so much more time with Dimitri than I have ever spent.

I ran out the door with tears falling down my face and heard someone calling after me. I ignored it. But eventually, someone snatched my arm and forced me to stop walking.

"Vicktoria," Eddie pulled me into a hug when he saw me crying. "Shh," he cooed into my ear.

"He doesn't even like me, Eddie. He doesn't have time for me or even mama. You should see how upset mama gets when Dimitri doesn't phone or comes to visit," I cried into Eddie's chest.

"I know. It's going to be okay, Vika, because he does love you and your mama it's just hard for him to have enough time for everything," Eddie said. "Vika, you're amazing and anyone can see it. I see it. I'm so lucky to have you in my life now because now I have a new best friend," he whispered into my ear.

Best friends.

That's all we'd ever be and it hurt. He was probably going out with that girl Mia. I mean, who wouldn't want to go out with Eddie? He's literally the best guy I know!

"I'm glad you're in my life too," I whispered.

"Let's get you back to your dorm, you look really tired," Eddie said. He swung his arm across my shoulder and took me back to my dorm.
