Waterfall

I'm sorry it took me so long to update. I haven't had a lot of time on my hands. But I promise I will try harder to update. This summer won't have a lot of updates although because I'm going on a lot of trips. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter though!

"Sounds like fun," I put my bag on that carried the necessities. "Time to get this over with," I mumbled.

About five minutes later, after Liam and I collected our things, we were finally off, beginning to walk into the unknown forest.

Liam smirked at me, "thank god those fuckers can't follow me around for the next couple of nights," he said. I scoffed and he continued with his rambling, "that guardian Belikov is the most annoying out of all of them. I don't even know that cock sucker and he's already telling me what to do," he complained because Dimitri wasn't taking his bullshit. Liam just didn't like it when someone told him off, and that just happened to be Dimitri.

I rolled my eyes. "Why are you so protective over Julia? She's a novice; she can protect herself," I questioned him. His whole body stiffened when I brought up Julia.

"It's none of your fucking business," he said between his teeth. I clearly hit a nerve when I brought up Julia. I wonder if he was in love with her? It was clear that she has feelings for him by the way she looked at him. "Do you even know what way we're going?" He asked changing the subject.

I pulled out the map from my pocket that Guardian Bender handed me. This is going to really hard; I sucked at geography. "Well according to this map, we're supposed to be going over here," I said pointing to a place on the map. Suddenly, the map was snatched out of my hand roughly. "Hey!" I yelled angrily.

"It's clear you don't know what you're doing," he while studying the map. "It should take us three hours to get there if we keep up a good pace and not take too many breaks," he said surprising me. He was actually... smart? He looked like he wouldn't care about doing well in school.

For the next hour, we walked in silence but then I tripped over a stupid root. "Ouch!" I yelled falling forward. Instead of Liam reaching out to help me when he clearly could have, he let me fall and then he started laughing at me. "Shut up, dick!" I yelled, jumping to my feet while brushing the dirt off of me.

"Not so tough now, are you?" He smirked at me and started walking again.

"At least I don't put an act on pretending I'm tough," I yelled back. He suddenly stopped.

"What the fuck does that mean, bitch?" He said, beginning to walk over to me slowly with a glare.

I wasn't afraid of him. "What I mean is that you act tough but I know that you have a heart. You're not a Strigoi which means you have feelings and emotions. And I know you're in love with Julia," I said crossing my arms.

He shook his head, "stop pretending you know me when you don't! Now shut the fuck up before I do something I'll regret."

I scoffed, "I doubt you would hurt me; I've been trained by one of the best guardians," I smirked, showing off a little.

"Whatever."

I can't believe I'm stuck with him! He's such an asshole. I wish I was with Eddie. Eddie is nothing like Liam.

About ten minutes after our 'disagreement', I saw a waterfall. It was so beautiful, so I decided to go explore it. We needed to fill up our water anyways. It took prompting to get Liam to wait for me, but he finally did but it was clear he was annoyed. He didn't join me when I went to go fill up our water, and I was fine with that.
