Dimitri sat down on my the chair from the desk while I sat at the bottom of the bed. He sighed deeply, I wonder if I had done something wrong?

"What did I do this time?" I huffed. He glanced up at me and shook his head.

"Why do you always assume when I want to talk to you that you're in trouble?" He asked annoyed. I shrugged.

"Because I'm often in trouble. You're always disappointed in me..." I muttered the last part but he heard.

"I'm not always disappointed in you, Roza. You can do dumb things like getting drunk at that party but one day, you're going to make an excellent guardian. You will most likely even be a better guardian than I am." He walked over to me and stroked my cheek gentle. I stared up at him. My neck had to go pretty far back because of how tall he was. He saw my struggle and bent down on his knees to be at the same level as me.

"Thanks, comrade," I then wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him into me. He was tense for a second but then he relaxed.

"Anytime, Roza. I'll always be here for you."

I breathed in his scent never wanting to let go of him. "So, what did you want to talk about?" I asked when he let go of me. He walked over to the chair and sat down again.

"When I tell you you can't freak out. I've already told Eddie," Dimitri said.

My heart started beating fast. "Oh, god! Is Lisa okay? I new I shouldn't have left, this is all my fault," I said starting to freak out.

"Rose, Lissa is fine. There was a small attack at the academy but nothing the guardians couldn't handle," he said but that wasn't going to calm me down. I stood up and then went over to the phone. "Rose, what are you doing?" He sighed standing up as well.

"I'm calling Lissa! I'm her guardian! I should've been there to protect her but I wasn't," I said and began dialling in her phone number in a panic. Dimitri grabbed both my hands pulling it away from the phone before I could finish dialling. "Let go of me!" I yelled as he continued to hold my hands roughly.

"Rose, please calm down. Everyone is okay, stop doing this to yourself," he almost yelled but I didn't care what he had to say in this moment.

He pulled me forcefully away from the phone and back onto the bed where he had my arms pinned above my head. His torso was on mine. Usually I would love this, but I was to frustrated at myself for not being there for Lissa.

"Get the hell off of me before I do something I'll regret," I hissed. He looked down at me with concern. I didn't even realize it but I had tears rushing down my face. I never cried!

"I'm sorry you weren't there but I can assure you she was safe. They would never let anything happen to her," he said with a complete straight face.

After he saw that I had calmed down, he let go of my wrist and whiped my tears away with his thumb. His hand eventually travelled to to my hair and tucked it behind my ear. I blushed a little.

I couldn't take it anymore, I needed to be closer to him. I lifted my head up to reach his lips and then kissed him. His whole entire body went extremely tense but then I felt his lips move against mine. I laid back down and Dimitri followed me down with his lips still all over mine. My hands travelled to his back and I wrapped my legs around his waist.

He kissed my neck and I let out a loud moan as he reached the sensitive part of my neck. As soon as I moaned, he pulled away very quickly and practically ran to the other side of the room. I sat up feeling very rejected, I hated this feeling.

"We can't, Rose. I'm your mentor, the person who's supposed to be looking out for you. You have to stop kissing me," he said.

"You kissed me back and I know you... you liked it," I said.

"It doesn't matter if I did or not, what matters is that it was wrong. We need to move on," he said with sadness is his eyes.

"I can't, Dimitri. I'm in love with you," I said feeling extremely confident. His body came even more tense, if that's even possible.

"Roza... don't say that, please. Don't make this harder then it has to be," he pleaded.

"Fine, whatever. Get out," I said not even looking at him.

"Rose..." he started but I interrupted.

"Leave," I snapped. I heard him sigh and leave. I sunk into my bed and let myself drift off to sleep.

Eddie's POV

I pulled out my cell phone as soon as Dimitri told me what happened and dialled Vicktoria's number. It rang a couple of times and then Vicktoria picked up.

"Eddie?" I heard her sweet voice say. I sighed in relief knowing she was okay.

"Vika. How are you? Are you okay? Dimitri told me what happened today," I said nervously.

"I'm... fine. It's just... never mind," she said and I thought I heard her sniffle. My heart broke when I heard her small sobs.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying, Vika?" I asked with my heart beating really quickly. "You can tell me anything."

"I was in the field when the strigoi attacked," she whimpered.

"Oh my, god! Are you okay? Did a strigoi hurt you? Tell me you're okay?" I begged.

"I'm physically alright but I saw somethings that I wasn't prepared to see. I don't think I can make it as a guardian. All the things I saw were things I never want to see again," she sobbed. What the hell did she see? And why was she doubting herself?

"Vicktoria, calm down. You will be an amazing guardian! Don't ever doubt yourself. You know it and everyone else knows it," I said trying to be supportive.

"Yeah, right. Listen, I have to go and do some homework. I'll try and call you later," she whispered. Did she really have homework or was she trying to get me off of the phone?

"I'm here for you. Don't push me away," I said.

"I'm not! I'll call you later."

And then the line went dead. Great. She doesn't want to talk to me...
