Dimitri left a note in the gym saying the practice was canceled and he'd see me in the morning. It was frustrating because he barely gave me any notice and Lissa and I was supposed to hang out but I couldn't because of the practice. So, I told her no. Thanks, Dimitri, I thought sarcastically. 

I walked back to my dorm room slowly because I was tired. Luckily, I had a full stomach because Lissa practically shoved food down my throat. She told me she was worried and did the whole guilt trip thing to get me to eat more than I wanted to. When I entered my room, Vicktoria was on her new bed, it was the exact same as mine, listening to music while typing. 

I grabbed her earphones off her and she jumped in surprise. "You know, if I were a strigoi, you'd be dead," I said in a serious tone. I then burst into fits of laughter. 

"And you sound just like Dimitri. It was sort of scary," Vicktoria laughed as well. "Anyways, why are you back so early? You've literally been gone for fifteen minutes." 

"Dimitri decided to cancel our lesson. It's probably because I flashed him today by an accident at the hospital," I laughed, but it was more like a nervous laugh. 

"WHAT?!" Vicktoria sudden loud voice made me jump. "How the hell did you manage that?!" She instantly sat up, very interested into what I'm about to tell her. I rolled my eyes and sat down beside her on her bed. 

"So, I was pissed about being at the hospital--," I started but Vicktoria interrupted. 

"No surprise there," she laughed. 

"-- And I got up not realizing that the back of my hospital gown was wide open. And Dimitri and Alberta saw my whole entire ass," I sighed. "Not only that, but the doctor began to ask me questions about my sex life and menstrual cycle, so yeah, it really fucking sucked!" I put my head into my hands hiding my embarrassed face. 

"Wow, well that'll be a great story to tell in the future," Vicktoria laughed. "Can I ask you a question? You might not like the question because you aren't going to be prepared for it," Vicktoria began. She fiddled with her hands. 

"Shoot," I told her.

"Do you have a crush on my brother Dimitri slash your mentor Dimitri?" She questioned. 

"You weren't lying when you said I wouldn't be prepared for that question," I joked. "Why would you think I had a crush on Dimitri?" I asked pretending like I didn't have a crush on him. I couldn't tell anyone because that could get Dimitri into trouble and could affect my guardian job in the future. 

"Well... because of the way you two look at each other. And... I saw you guys almost kiss the first day I was here," she said. I gasped. 

"W-what?" I said acting confused but I think she could see right through me. 

"Remember the first day I came and I asked my mama if I could stay behind and practice with you and Dimitri?" She asked and I nodded my head. "She said no at first but then changed her mind. As I was going back, I saw you two were holding each other and Dimitri was about to kiss you. It was definitely not a mentor-student kind of holding." 

"I-I, no--," Vicktoria interrupted me. 

"Rose, I'm not going to say anything, don't worry," she promised. 

"Can we, like, uh, stop talking about this?" I stuttered. 

"Sure," she smiled. 

For the rest of the night, Vicktoria and I watched a movie but Lissa was too busy with Christian to come to watch with us. If only Dimitri had given me an early notice about practice being canceled. Whatever. 

I woke up to the sounds of Vicktoria singing her head off in the shower. What is she doing up so early? She better not wake me up like this every morning or I will change my mind about her living here. I am a very grumpy morning person and not someone to mess around with, trust me. I banged on the washroom door. 

"Vicktoria! You're going to wake up the whole entire dorm building!" I shouted. 

"Sorry, Rose, but I can't help singing, it's like a disease you can't get rid of," Vicktoria said. 

"That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. And don't you dare use all the hot water!" I warned and climbed back into bed until she was done in the shower. 

It took me about forty-five minutes to get ready and then I was out my dorm room door towards the gym. I wasn't very excited to see Dimitri after he saw my ass, but I'll get over it. When I entered the gym, Dimitri was sitting on the ground reading a western novel as always. "Comrade, you started a new book," I smiled. 

He looked up at me. "I did." 

"So what are we doing today in practice?" I asked sitting down beside him. I took his book and skimmed through a couple of pages. I didn't really read anything but I wanted to annoy Dimitri. 

"I've decided today that you would lead the practice. Show me what you can do," he told me. 

I studied him to see if he was bluffing. "No, thanks," I said. 

"No, thanks?" He repeated surprised. "I thought you'd be jumping with joy that you were in charge of what we were doing in practice today," he smiled. 

"Okay, drop and give me fifty," I told him dead serious. 

"No, Rose. You are in charge of what you do not what I do," he said shaking his head. 

"You such the fun out of everything, did you know that?" 

"You've mentioned it before, so yes. But I don't think you really believe that." 

"Ugh, whatever. I want to use your stake," I extended my hand waiting for him to hand it to me. Surprisingly, he did hand it to me without even fighting with me. I smiled and ran over to a practice dummy. 

I began stabbing it through the heart when I saw Dimitri writing things down on a piece of paper while watching me. Oh, fuck no! 

"What the hell are you doing?!"
