Rose's POV

I woke up to the sound of someone banging on my door. Can't I just get some sleep without being interrupted?

"Rose! Open the door, now!" I heard Dimitri yell at me.

"I'm sleeping!" I yelled and through one of my shoes at the door. "Next time get another key," I said with a smile. Usually, he would be able to come into my room without banging and yelling but he didn't have a key to get into here.

"It's seven and Guardian Cameron will be here at eight to bring us to the St. Basil's," Dimitri informed me. I had totally forgotten that we were going to that dumb academy today.

"Fine. I'm up," I groaned.

I got out of my bed reluctantly towards my suitcase. I pulled out a pair of jeans and a black hoodie. I grabbed my gym bag with my work out clothing and other needs for the gym. I also put a tiny bit of mascara on. I opened the door to leave my hotel room to see Eddie and Dimitri standing waiting for me.

"You guys didn't have to stay in the hallway and wait for me. We still have," I looked at the clock on the wall in the hallway, "thirty seconds until we have to go," I said awkwardly.

Dimitri shook his head at me and told Eddie and me to follow him. We went to the elevator and there were about seven other people with us. We were the last people on the elevator so we'll have to wait a while before we get to our floor. I stood beside a man that looked about twenty-five. He looked down at me and smiled.

"Hey, beautiful," he flirted making me feel uncomfortable. Dimitri stepped closer to me but I couldn't tell what he was thinking because he had his stupid guardian mask on. "I haven't seen you around here before," he winked.

"That's because she's a high school student and she's on a school trip," Dimitri stepped in. "Hi, I'm her teacher," Dimitri reached his hand out towards the man.

"Oh, uh-- sorry, man. Didn't know she was underage. She looks like a smoking hot twenty-year-old," he said. Dimitri took me by the arm and pulled me towards Eddie. The man looked back at me a couple times but he didn't scare me. I knew there were creeps like him in the world but he was human. I could beat the shit out of him any day.

The man eventually left the elevator and I swore I saw Dimitri sigh with relief. I felt like Dimitri was protecting me from bad people. I felt my cheeks burn a little when I thought about him. I hid my face so Eddie and him wouldn't notice.

When we got off the elevator, we headed out the large glass doors from the hotel. I spotted Guardian Cameron's van as soon as we stepped outside. Guardian Cameron was standing against his van and when he saw us, he had a large smile on his face.

"Goodmorning," he said cheerfully.

"Guardian Cameron," Dimitri nodded his head and shook his hand. I rolled my eyes at how formal he was being.

"Sir," Eddie said also acting formally.

"Are we just going to stand here?" I asked getting annoyed. I wanted to get this day over with. The sooner we get to that academy, the sooner we can leave.

"Rose. Don't be disrespectful," Dimitri barked. "Thank you again for driving us. It was very generous," Dimitri said as we all climbed into Guardian Cameron's van.

"No problem. I always like helping novices with so much potential. Rose, did you know I taught your mother?" He said surprising me.

"No, I actually didn't. Then again, I don't know anything about my mother beside her name," I said suddenly feeling angry. Whenever I think about her, I feel frustrated.
