Hey y'all! Super long chapter here, but it's kind of a filler. Hope this can provide for some decent entertainment - I'm going to visit family from Thursday afternoon to Monday morning. I have chapter nine uploaded to Wattpad already, so I can upload from my phone while I'm away :)

Who saw the Season 4 premiere of Teen Wolf? I don't really know what to say because I thought that that episode was...idk. *shudders* I hope the rest of the season is better :/

Thanks for 1K reads!!!! woo!!! Super thankful!!! I love y'all, cause y'all are the best!! At the moment I'm writing chapter ten and I might even be editing some of Ring Around right now ;)

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the chapter! Vote, fan, comment, and don't be afraid to PM me :)

xoxo,

Morgan

The next couple of days are torture. Delilah, Zack, Matt, Lindsay, and occasionally Adrian drop by to see me while I'm on bed rest. Doc comes by eventually to check me out, but comes to the same conclusion as Maria. He does, however, leave a pair of crutches for me to try out at the end of the week.

I end up moving back to my original room, which is next to Zack's, so that he could have his room back. He's really against moving me, so one morning while he's out, Matt and Adrian help me move all my stuff back to my room. When he gets back and finds me in my own room, Zack is absolutely livid, which is an understatement. I still don't get why - I mean, it's just next door..

Lately, I don't really know how I felt about his new treatment of me. Sure, I'm hurt, but my hip is slowly mending, my leg only has a small scar on it, and the headaches from my concussion are fading from an intense throbbing to a dull ache. My recovery is going smoothly, but Zack is super careful about me. It's almost like he thinks I'm too fragile to do anything, and it's to the point where he won't leave me by myself for longer than a few minutes. There's people standing guard outside my room at all times, and he's constantly out searching for Javier and his men.

One day, he comes back from patroling when I decide to ask him about his new treatment of me.

"Hey, Zack?"

"Yeah?" He calls from the bathroom. Lately, he's taken to using my shower and even has some of his own stuff in there. Since I'm not in his room with him anymore, he's decided to move the party to my room, so to speak. I don't really mind, and it's not like I can do all that much about it anyways.

"Can you let up on the guards and stuff? I mean, I don't really think it's necessary and I feel as though their presence could be better used elsewhere."

Zack is silent for a few minutes, and all I hear is running water. "Zack?"

"Sorry, I was washing my face," he finally answers. "I have them here for your protection. I don't want someone to slip in unnoticed again."

"But what are the chances of that happening again?" I ask him. "I just feel like it's a waste."

"It's not a waste, Teresa," Zack says, turning off the water. He doesn't answer for a few minutes as he dresses, and then releases a cloud of steam as he comes back into my room. "They're here so that nothing happens to you while I'm out doing things."

"But there's almost always someone here with me," I argue back. "I just don't see the need. I'm not that important."

That was apparently the wrong thing to say, as Zack's eyes flash. He sighs angrily, towel-drying his hair as he thinks of what to say. "You're very important, so there is a need."
