Hey y'all! School just started last Monday, and to be honest I kind of missed learning. I mised all my friends, that's for sure, but I didn't miss all the homework, ugh. I'm in three AP classes this year and I've already had a bunch of quizzes and tests and a TON of homework, and it's already the first week! On top of that I got a job :D

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the last of your summer break for those of you still on it. Summer went by so fast, ugh. But I read a lot this summer and I constantly have been going to the library, it's great since it's right across the street from my school :) I personally reccomend the Gone Series by Michael Grant -- if you've read Lord of the Flies, it's kind of like that only with both boys and girls, superpowers, and everyone under the age of 15. I really enjoyed reading the series!

Hope you enjoy this chapter! Comment and vote if you did :) It's long and a cute little filler, so I hope you like it :)

xoxo,

Morgan

Later in the day, Amber and I leave for work together. She swings by to pick me up and I happily take the free ride, telling Zack I'll be back later and to behave himself. He rolls his eyes as I leave, kissing me hard as I sit in the passenger seat. Amber makes gagging noises in the driver's seat as I feel light-headed from my emotions. Finally, I push him away.

“What are you doing?” he whines, forehead still pressed to mine. His thumb gently touches the bottom of my chin, tilting my face toward his. I sigh, pecking him one last time and leaning fully back into my seat.

“I have work,” I say. “We can do this later.”

Amber rolls her eyes as Zack winks at me. “I'll see you later, Tessie. I love you.”

I feel myself go slightly pink. He's never told me he loved me when we're not alone, much less in front of one of my friends. Amber is chuckling under her breath as Zack smiles at me, making my heart flutter. I don't trust my voice to speak, knowing it'll probably catch or hiccup or something, so I reply inside his head instead. I love you more.

His soft chuckle bounces inside my brain as Amber turns around in the seat, looking behind her as she backs out of the driveway. I seriously doubt that you love me more than I love you, but I'll let it slide..for now.

I roll my eyes, but then I remember he can't see it, so the point is moot. I just don't answer, letting our mental conversation drop there. Amber presses the button for the radio as she drives out of my neighborhood, switching between stations until she settles upon something she likes.

“So what are you getting Zack for his birthday?” she asks casually, turning up the heat on low.

“I don't know,” I admit. “I honestly haven't really thought about it. I do have like, two weeks.”

“Teresa,” Amber says. “It's November 12th. You have exactly ten days to think about getting the love of your life and future husband his birthday gift. Also, what are you guys doing for Thanksgiving? Have you even thought about it?”

“Uh,” I reply. She rolls her eyes, swerving into the turning lane and slamming her blinker on as she does so. I shoot her a look as she does it, and she shrugs, flipping her black hair out of her face. Today it's curly, pushed back by a thick headband and stopping at her shoulders.

“Sorry,” she says, not really sounding like she is. “But seriously, what are you doing for Thanksgiving? And any gift ideas?”

“Maybe I'll get him a gift card or something?” I say. Amber shoots me a death glare, her big eyes piercing my own.
