Chapter 10

"Here you are again..." Wildfire hissed.
"And guess what? I-" The earth started shaking. I tumbled down a steep hill and landed on the stone floor.

"Bluewhiskers?" I awoke to see Gentle in front of me again. "Gorgeous said for everyone to come to the great tree" Gentle said. "The great tree...?" I stood up. "Yeah, that big oak tree" Gentle started walking the direction of it, like all the other clan members. "Oh" Later I sat down in the crowd of cats and dogs, beside Gentle. Gorgeous was standing on a large rock at the front.
"Everybody, go in groups of your jobs"
She said. Everybody looked around in confusion, then obeyed.
I was standing in team B patrollers.
"Now, I was walking around the territory today, and I saw Clawpaw!" Gorgeous said excited. A she-cat stepped forward.
"She was a loner, since she was a kitten" Gorgeous said.
"Now, Clawpaw, you can join any of these teams and jobs. There is
team A hunters; Blackhawk, Shepherd, Stubborn, Curious, and Fuz." Gorgeous started introducing the cats.
'How come she didn't do this with me?' I thought. 'Oh, and who is Fuz?' I asked myself, looking around team A hunters. There was a cat, sitting on Shepherds back. She was fuzzy, and ginger.

"Then there is Team B patrollers.
Bulk, an apprentice, Darkpelt, Sensitive, and Savage, my brother"
Gorgeous continued.
"And Team C...doesn't have many people... Anymore.... Anyways! There's the apprentice, Killer, and there's Grim, my other brother. " Gorgeous said.
'What happened to the rest?' I thought curiously. I looked around and spotted a cat, standing next to Killer. 'That must be Grim? I didn't know Gorgeous had another brother? Why do Backstab, Snicker, and Better never talk about him? And I never see them saying , bye, to him when there going to patrol?' I thought curiously. I just wanted to ask now, but I knew I couldn't do that.

"Their leader is Bloodthirsty!
And there's the patrollers, Team A;
Silver, and the apprentices, Snicker and Better." Gorgeous said.

"Then there is Team B patrollers; Chill, Red, Skylight, Black, Pitch, and the apprentices, Backstab and Bluewhiskers." Gorgeous said.
I smiled at Clawpaw now that I knew she would be looking at me.
She smiled in response.

"And there is team C patrollers; Annoying" the pug from team C, that I saw before, that R didn't seem to like, stood up proudly. "Excited" A dog wagged his tail happily. "Hopeless"
A Siamese cat was flopped on Exited's back. "Sticky" a beautiful, purple eyed, black cat grinned. 'Sticky?!'
"And the apprentice, Gentle" Gorgeous said.

"Then there is Flower...She's injured in a way, and can't work." Runt and Kit were swinging a flower to keep Flower in place. Flower tapped on it with no expression.
It was as if she was a body without a soul. Or soul without a body.
A chill ran down my spine.

"Then there is Runt and Kit, too young to work" Gorgeous said. Clawpaw was still looking confused at Flower.

"Then there's healers, Wise and Uni" I looked beside Wise and saw a cat, with very pretty, but mysterious eyes.

"And I'm Gorgeous, this is the Beta, Silence" Gorgeous said, turning to Clawpaw. "Which job would you like?" Gorgeous asked. Clawpaw looked around at the teams.
"I'd like to be a patroller...team C?" She asked. "You made a mistake" Backstab whispered.
"Are you sure?" Gorgeous asked, not wanting Clawpaw to go into such a team. 'I wonder why it's so bad' I thought. "I'm sure" Clawpaw said.
"But team A doesn't have many members..." Gorgeous said.
"You said I could choose where ever I wanted" Clawpaw turned to Gorgeous. "Fine..." Gorgeous sighed.
"You can all go back to whatever you were doing now!" Gorgeous said, and we all walked away. I saw Runt and Kit runaway playing, and Flower was left alone. The territory was surrounded by trees, but inside the circle, there wasn't many trees.
Flower sat right at the edge of the territory, next to the trees.
'Maybe she likes trees?' I thought as I walked to Flower. Flower stared through the trees. She seemed to be looking at something. But not really looking with her eyes. It was like she could just see something.
