Chapter 17

"The Deathly Disease" Uni said softly, paranoid that's what it was.
That must have been a name for the disease Uni was talking about. The one that killed so many cats and dogs. The one that half took over Flower.

Wise collapsed, falling to the ground.
"No, Wise!" Uni screamed in grief.
Something moved in the bushes again. Something bigger.
"We have to move!" Savage yelled, as he also noticed movement. He grabbed Uni, and pulled her away from Wise. "Let's go!" He said. Everyone ran as fast as they could.
Sensitive and Silver carried their pups. Gorgeous, Savage, and Grim carried the triplets. Darkpelt struggled to keep her kittens and Flower beside her.
The shadow was close behind.
"We can't just leave Wise back there!" Uni cried. "It's too late, she has the Deathly Disease, she's gone!" Gorgeous said through Better's fur.
"No!" She yelled. Curious grabbed Uni from the back scruff of the neck.
"Let me go!" She hissed, as Curious ran with her in his mouth.
I struggled to keep up, as The Shadow came closer. A stream of light shone through the trees. We're almost there!' The shadow swiftly turned around, as the light shone over it.
We were out, and into our old territory. I guessed it was probably the Blood packs territory now. I had heard that's what BloodThirsty named her pack.

Everybody gasped for air.
"This doesn't make any sense! The disease has restarted! One of us could have caught it!" Stubborn exclaimed.
"You know what doesn't make any sense?! You all feel fine leaving Wise back there! When you are injured or sick, she is always the one to help you! And you feel fine to leave her back there!" Uni hissed. "Of course we don't feel fine about it, Uni. But she was already gone" Gorgeous said.
"We could have brought her body back! We could have buried her!" Uni cried as tears streamed down her face."We barely got out of there alive! And you wanted us to carry a dead body!?" Savage hissed. Uni didn't say anything to that. She just shook her head and walked to her old den, that was half destroyed, probably from the Blood pack. She didn't have the words to reply to Savage.

I started walking to my den, when Better, Snicker, Backstab and Gentle followed me.
Better whispered to me.
"Have you realized how much Gorgeous and Savage have been looking at us lately"
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I think they're starting to suspect us more" Better gulped at the end of her sentence. "I don't think so..." I said unsure, not wanting to except it.
"Trust me...I think we should stick together until we're sure..." She said.
"That will look way more suspicious." I said, as we entered my old, half destroyed den. "I don't think we can get anymore suspicious..." Better said as we looked at Gorgeous and Savage, who whispered to each other as they looked directly to us. "But why would they suspect their own family?" I asked. "No, I don't think they suspect the three of us." Better said pointing her head to her two brothers. "But I'm worried about you and Gentle."

I swallowed as my mouth started to go dry. "Maybe we should stick together..." I admitted.

I curled up in my old bed. I looked outside at the pale silver moon, shining in the dark, star covered sky.
Sleep took over, and I surprisingly didn't have any dreams. I was in too light sleep to dream

6 cats stood there, fire flaming around them. Ginger, Black, Brown, White, Gray, and Blue, their colours shone in the fire. They all said at the same time, their voices echoing.
"We know where you live...we know who you are...we know who you fear...we know who you love"
The flames turned blue, and the six casted a huge shadow.
"But do you know US! We do not die... we fear nobody... We love nobody...we are the shadow that shall destroy all of CAT and DOG. We are the one who shall crumble your loved ones, and eat your heart and soul out of your worthless body!!!"

I walked out of my half destroyed den. I had a dreamless night. Not that I even really slept properly. Flower, Gentle, Snicker, Better, and Backstab joined me, walking to the rest of the clan as they seemed to be about to leave to find another territory.
"Not leaving already are you?" A Great Dane said. Everyone turned around to see a few members of the Blood Pack. At the front was Bloodthirsty. But she wasn't the one who spoke. A young, maybe 1 year old Great Dane walked forwards. She wore a silver collar looking thing around her neck.
"My name is Jewl..." She said.
There were hissed from the clan.
"My mother...a beautiful Great Dane. And a powerful warrior. Was found after going for a hunt in the forest. Dead." Her voice cracked. "My mother, was killed by you clan of Hyenas!!" She barked viciously.
Her, Bloodthirsty, and Death were the only ones there.
