Chapter 16

Me, Gentle and Flower joined the other cats, as they surrounded Gorgeous, and she spoke.
"Majority of the you Horizoners have decided that The Shadow Figure is either Vamp or Clawpaw. So we have decided, that since Clawpaw could be it, then we should banish her. And as most of you know, the punishment of an outcast..." Gorgeous looked at Silence, who walked up to Clawpaw, who stood face down. "Is to have a paw snapped or taken off. " Gorgeous said. My throat went dry, and my eyes went wide. "It's not her" Gentle whispered. "Sensitive, if you will please take the kittens and pups away" Gorgeous said. A sick feeling covered me.

Sensitive walked past me, Flower and Gentle. "Let's go kits" she said sweetly.
Better, Snicker and Backstab were walking close behind her. "I wanna watch!" Better complained. "I know right..." Snicker mumbled. "Do you know what they call cats like us? When something is forced out of its natural or proper shape. The something is our heads in this sentence, or if you want a simple definition, unpleasantly or unhealthily abnormal." Backstab said.
I wondered how, and where did he get this information from.

Clawpaw hissed, catching the attention of all the cats and dogs.
"It's not me!" She hissed.
Sensitive nudged me to keep on walking.

About an hour later, the kittens and pups were aloud to leave Sensitive's den. She made us stay in there until Clawpaw was finished being outcasted.

I saw Clawpaw limping away.
Gorgeous and Savage spoke quietly together. Better whispered "I'm gonna go see what they're talking about" She walked slowly towards them.
"Better! That's eavesdropping!" Gentle hissed. "Who's eave? I don't see any droppings?" I said. Me, Snicker, Flower, Gentle and Backstab followed after Better. Flower wasn't really following better, but was playfully tapping Backstab's tail, and following it.
"Not the time for jokes" Snicker said, picking up speed. "Jokes?" I looked around confused. "It's when you secretly listen to a conversation." Backstab said, as he began to fast walk. I whispered to Gentle. "I expected another huge definition"
Gentle giggle slightly.

We stopped quietly behind Gorgeous and Savage, hiding in a short tree, so its leaves were about as high as a fully grown teen-dog. "Ssh" Better whispered as we got closer to listen.

"You had to do it. She was a suspect." Savage said to Gorgeous.
"But Clawpaw suspected Red! Red suggested Clawpaw! Skylight suspected Gentle!"
Gentle held in a small gasp.
"Pitch and Black suspected Flower!"
"R suspected Grim!"
The triplets eyes saddened.
"Uni suspected Curious, Stubborn, and Blackhawk!" My ears sagged a little. "That doesn't matter! What matters is who you suspect." Savage said. Gorgeous sighed. "To be completely honest...I suspect a lot of people...Blackhawk, Curious, Stubborn, Killer, Grim, R, Chill, Red, Skylight, Flower, Gentle, Uni-"
Savage stopped her. "But who do you suspect more than anyone?" He asked.
"Clawpaw..." Gorgeous said, but she didn't seem completely done.
"And...?" Savage asked. Gorgeous lowered her head, and looked at the floor. "Bluewhiskers"
A gasp escaped my throat, and Better tackled me to the floor, and we all ran towards our newly made dens. Gentle's was the closest, so we ran into it.
After we were in, we were all began gasping for air. "If anybody saw us!" Better started. "We could be a major suspect!" Snicker continued.
I didn't know what 'major' meant, but it sounded big. "Sorry" I said.
I couldn't believe, Gorgeous suspected me. Out of all animals. Me? Why me?
"Don't worry Bluewhiskers. We're all being suspected. We just need to stay strong and trust our friends." Gentle said, cheering me up a bit. "Okay..." I sighed. "Lets get some rest" Gentle said, walking to her bed.
"You are welcome to sleep here if you like" she said so us all. "Attention again Horizoners!" Gorgeous called.
'Don't be another cat being casted out, please don't be another one' I silently hoped, as I looked outside, at Gorgeous on her rock.
"Tomorrow, we will be leaving here, to find another territory. So if you have anything to take with you, get it ready!" Gorgeous announced.
I looked back, to see Backstab, Snicker, Better and Gentle, were fast asleep. Flower sat beside me, when we heard something moving in the trees. My head swung around to look at it. Alex flew out of a tree, and landed in front of me.
"What took you so long?" I asked.
He dropped a rolled up leaf in front of me. "Maybe because you moved?!" He chirped angrily. "Ssh!"
He rolled his eyes, and took off into the air. As he flew away, I looked down at the leaf.
