On the way home

I packed my little bag with the most important things. Clothes, books, money, stuff like that.
With my coat over me and my bag hanging from my shoulder, I went to talk to my brother.
He was sitting in the huge dinner room and just stared at me when I walked in.
"Brother?"
He didn't move or even show some emotions or affection.
"I will go now. I wanted to say that I'm sad that it ended this way... I will take the whole responsibility for the army but you can be king now. All by yourself. You will become an unknown Uncle and an illusionist brother for me."
I had said what I wanted to and I was turning around to leave. When I was by the door he said only 3 last words, which would stick with me forever:  "I love you."
"I love you too."
Those were the last word we would say to each other in a very long time. I would miss him as who he once was before the power took control over him.
Before I was able to go I went to my lovely helpful witch.
She came slowly hugging me. She was getting old and I was scared it would be the last time I would see her. "I have to go."
"I know my princess. I know. And I'm so happy that you over-won your pride and did what would make you happy. The child has not make you weak but free."
Tears were forming in my eyes and I hugged her once again.
"I'm gonna miss you. Thank you for ..." a tear rolled down my check. "Everything and please, you have to promised to take care of my brother, okay? He needs someone." She nodded giving me a kiss on the cheek. Before I left she gave me a few spells and medicine. For pregnancy pain, and sickness.

Misha was already waiting for me. "Oh my boy let's go before I regret anything."
Misha listed to my command and we wrote faster than the wind. I saw Hvitserk and his cheeky smile.

The ride was longer than usual and I couldn't think about anything else then what my life was gonna be.
Would I become happy? Will the army still respect me? Will my brother be okay? Will I get a son or a daughter?
"Are you okay?" Hvitserk asked pulling me out of my thoughts. We were sitting around a fire, to keep us warm. "Yes." I didn't lie but also didn't tell the truth.
All this just happened too fast. Meeting Ivar, getting pregnant, the ultimatum, Hvitserk coming, it was all too fast.

We rode again before the sun was up. Hvitserk was complaining since I woke him and he was just so cute.
It was getting cold and the sun didn't shine like in the summer.

"There it is." Hvitserk pointed down a hill.
"Your new home."
And there it truly was.
Kattegat.
Ivar.
