Dave
He paced back and fourth waiting for Miya to show. He was ready for her to put hand on every female that laid hand on his girl. It upset him that he allowed his girlfriend to be ganged. He was more upset that they didn't go there with back up to begin with, they literally just got they ass handed to them.
"David."
He looked up from the floor to look at Ayanna's face. Raged filled his eyes when he saw the scratch and the bruise on her cheek.
"I swear to god we're going to get them babe. I promise you." Dave shook his head. He bounced his leg up and down to try to ease his anger.
"Who did you call earlier?" The bed dent in beside him and her head laid on his shoulder.
"The only person in my family that can fight." He chuckled. And sadly it was true, Miya was on the only girl that could fight on his mom side of the family, and pretty much the closest one.
"Don't tell you you called Miya." Ayanna grabbed Dave hand and held on to it.
"Yes, yes I did."
"David she just hurt her hand a few weeks about by busting her boyfriend car windows, what makes her compatible to fight anyone?"
"If it was hurting her so badly she would have kept the cast on. Miya endured a lot of pain in her life so I doubt her hand is even bothering her." Dave scuffed. All the things he knew Miya been through, a broken hand to be the least of any pain she ever felt.
"Well you don't think that's alittle selfish of you?"
"What do you mean Ayanna?" Dave huffed. He didn't need on of her lectures when he's handling their business.
"You using Miya, you don't know what kind of pain she's in and you're being selfish to use her to help me. I can handle them one on one. You don't need to bring anyone else in it, especially your crazy ass cousin who has no chill when it comes to harming people." Ayanna laughed a little and gripped on his hand tighter. "You just called the girl who once fought you and almost killed you in your sleep."
Dave laughed lightly and shook his head. "That's only because I joked about something that shouldn't have been joked about, well at that time I never knew, but." He shrugged. Him and Miya would always joke around as kids, but one day he took it too far and joked about her getting raped and abused. It was something he wished he never said to her, he was never scared of her but that day he never been so terrified. He wish he had never said it to begin with.
"Well I would ask you what did your mean ass say, but from the look on your face I can tell it wasn't good." Ayanna rubbed her thumb on his hand and gave him a small reassuring smile.
"No, no, it's fine," Dave sighed and licked on his lips. "The reason why she tried that was because I joked and told her I hope she get raped and beat up, not knowing that those things was actually happening to her."
"Now that was a shitty thing to say, even as a young child. What made you say such an evil thing?"
"I-"
Dave looked up from the floor when he heard a loud knock on the door.
"We'll talk later." Ayanna glanced at him. She let go of his hand and walked out of the room.
He sighed heavily and continued to look down at the floor. Not only was he still pissed about Ayanna getting ganged but now the old gilt was inside him again. He wished he had never said anything to her, but how was he suppose to know at the age of ten?
