Mason
"Mason Price?"
Mason stood to his feet and walked towards the front desk. He stared down at the elderly woman that called his name and arched his brow.
"Are you Mason Price?" She asked as she looked up at him.
Mason continued to stare at the woman and sighed heavily. "Yeah." He was tempting to say something smart, but decided against it.
The woman handed him a visitors pass and pointed down a hall. "At this hall right here. Go down until you see visitors center. Your mother should be in there waiting on you."
Mason clamped the visitors pass onto his shirt and walked away from the desk. As he made his way to the visitors center he looked around at the many people that roamed the halls and felt sorry for them. They all looked miserable and neglected, not one of them looked happy. That's why he hoped Miya wasn't in some place like this, he knew for a fact she hated being miserable and neglected, but who does?
He continued his walk until he came upon a large arch way. He stood there and looked up at the sign and scoffed.
"Fun time?" Mason read to himself. "Is this an elementary school?" He shook his head and walked inside of the spacious room. He scanned over the many people that was inside as he looked for his mom.
As he walked further into the room he spotted her sitting in a corner with her hands intertwined on top of the table. Mason made his way over to his mother and as soon as they made eye contact her face lit up with glee. She jumped up from her seat and ran to him.
"My son." She beamed as she hugged around Mason.
Mason wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. He couldn't lie, he missed his mom terribly and was glad that he was able to finally see her.
"Hey ma." He laughed a little as she pulled up to look at him.
"Gosh you are so damn handsome. Look at you." She pinched his cheeks.
Mason mugged down at her and pulled her hands away from his face. "You know I don't like anyone touching my face."
"Boy I am your mother, not those pissy tail little girls you be messing with." She smacked her lips as she rolled her eyes and walked away from him.
"I haven't messed around with a female in over three months momma." Mason smacked his lips in reply to her. He followed behind her and sat in the chair across from where she was sitting at first.
"Yeah right." She laughed. "The Mason I know had girls from the block lining up to get a piece of him."
"Ma, I'm not in high school anymore. I've settled down."
"Boy to who?" His mom arched her brow in shock.
Mason bit on his lip and sighed. "Her name is Miya."
"Miya?" She asked confused.
"Yeah." Mason nodded his head. He watched as his mom eyes widen with excitement.
"So you were dating my old hairdresser?"
Mason cracked a smile before laughing a little to himself.
"How have you been?" He asked trying to change the subject as quick as possible.
"Nuh uh, don't try to change the subject." She mugged at him. "So you two did date?"
"Yeah ma." Mason chuckled as he slouched in the seat. He shoved his hands in his sweats and shrugged his shoulders.
"So I guess you and her broke up huh?" She asked. "What did she do because just like your last girlfriend she did something as well."
