Miya/Mela
Back in CaliforniaMiya sat there at the head of the boardroom table as multiple businessmen and women spoke on what they like about the business and their dislikes and what they all could improve as a whole and/or individually and how they could attract more companies to bring in more business.
As she sat there, she couldn't help but to move something. No matter if it was her head, shoulders, fingers, or toes. She had to move something. Mela was really starting to bug the hell out of her. All she wanted Mela to do was calm down just enough to get Miya through the rest of the day, but by now all Miya wanted to do was end it all.
"Girl fuck you."
Miya nudged her brow together and scoffed.
"No bitch, fuck you." Rolled her eyes as she huffed.
"Excuse me?"
Miya looked up to see everyone around the table staring at her.
"Did I say something?" Miya arched her brow in confusion as she looked around the room.
"You just cursed me." The women scoffed with an eyeroll causing Miya to look at her funny.
"Mrs. Wanda," Miya fixed her suit jacket and sat straight up in her chair. Miya folded her hands together on top of the table and looked the woman in her eyes. "I highly do apologize for interrupting your speech and for making you feel uncomfortable by my narcissistic outburst. Now, I let all my employees know my mental health status because I am open and honest with every single one of you because this is an open place where everyone is free to do as they please without feeling judge and as long as they do it in a respectable and responsible manner. At this very moment I am fighting with my inner self, as you all could tell by my constant moving around and slight twitching, and I spoke too soon. So for that, I do apologize. Please continue with your statement and/or opinion you were presenting to the group." Miya held her hand out and slowly sat back in her chair. She folded her hands over her chest and continued to stare at Mrs. Wanda.
Mrs. Wanda cleared her throat and rolled her neck slightly, giving Miya attitude. "Now as I was saying-."
"Now I'm going to interrupt you before you begin. Mrs. Wanda, I apologized for my outburst and not once did I give you an ounce of attitude, despite the many emotions that is running through my body right now, I advise you to calm your attitude or you could get the fuck out this meeting." Miya squinted her eyes at her. "Now, I am not my father but I will not tolerate any level of disrespect when I gave you my upmost respect. So please, refrain from your attitude. I am still your boss." Miya locked her hands together and sat with a smile.
"I do apologize Miss. Miya." Mrs. Wanda nodded in embarrassment, but she continued to give her insights.
Miya looked at her watch to see that it was only four in the evening. They have been sitting in this room for the past four hours and it was bugging her but from the rate they were going, there was still more that needed to be said from everyone.
"Miss Anderson?"
Miya looked towards the double glass doors to see that her assistant Jessica was standing in between the doors.
"Yes?" Miya lifter her head in concern. Without question Miya pushed the chair back from the table and stood to her feet.
"Excuse me." Miya told the group before walking towards her assistant and out of the room into the open foyer.
"What's up Jessica?" Miya tilted her head.
"Uhm, your package has arrived and I didn't know if you wanted me to tell you now or after the meeting." Jessica looked at the iPad in her hands and then looked at Miya.
