I eventually am woken up by a call from Juan and begin to get ready for the night.
"So is this like a...date?" asks Elizabeth as I continue to do my hair.
I scoff and turn around to look her in the eyes. "He's gonna be on stage the entire time. There's going to be no communicating. There's going to be dancers all over him. There's going to be thousands of girls and guys losing their fucking minds there." I say bluntly. "That is so not a date."
She waves her hand dismissively. "Something could still happen after the show though." she says, smirking at me.
I decided against telling Elizabeth about the little incident that accrued in the hallway earlier today. She would ask me how I felt and how he felt and frankly, I don't know the answer to either one of those questions at the moment. "Except for on set, nothing has happened to signal he likes me." lie.
"Stop being negative!" she shakes her head. "So are you gonna get good seats?"
"Uh yeah, I get to hang backstage and if I feel like it, I can go out in the front row and watch him." I say while trying not to poke out my eye with my mascara.
"That's cool." she says simply, nodding her head slightly. "Well I should get going. Call me and tell me everything that happens, okay?!" she says, standing up and heading for the door.
"Uh-huh." I say, too focused on my makeup to really care what she just said. "Have a safe flight!" I shout before I hear the door shut.

"Come in!" I say as I hear a knock on the door. I'm still putting on my dress as Juan walks in.
He quickly covers his eyes and turns around. "You could have made me wait, you know." he says quietly.
I laugh. "We both know you've seen me in way less clothes for your video."
He nods his head and slowly uncovers his eyes, turning around. "Will you pull the zipper up?" I ask, walking towards him.
He rubs both hands over his face, cursing under his breath. "Yeah.." he says before moving my long brown curls to the side and zipping the dress up slowly.
Did I do something? I think to myself as he finishes zipping the dress and walks at least ten feet away from me, almost as if to keep his distance from me.
"Ready?" he asks.
"Uh, yeah. Are you okay? You seem a little bit off." I say slowly as I grab my phone and purse.
"I'm just...nervous. Yeah! Nervous." He says chuckling nervously.
I nod my head not totally believing him but I eventually decide to let it go.

The entire car ride to the arena is filled with comfortable silence from both me and Juan. It's not surprising that when we arrive at the arena we're bombarded by hundreds of fans screaming his name and crying just at the sight of him. "Don't let go of me. These things can get pretty intense, so just hold onto me, okay?" he says, speaking for the first time since we got into the car. I quickly nod before Juan opens the door and the screaming becomes much, much louder and clearer then before.
We're quickly surrounded by at least six huge men who I assume are the bodyguards. Juan grabs my hand tightly and begins walking through the crowd, smiling and waving at his fans as we pass them.
By the time we're inside, Juan has taken at least a two dozen pictures with fans and given tons of autographs. "You deal with that every concert?" I ask, completely flabbergasted.
