"We are so fucking lucky that couple didn't see us." I shake my head, adjusting the straps to my dress as Juan and I walk back onto the sandy shore.

Juan grins, putting an arm around my shoulder as we make our way back to the hotel. "Oh, they definitely saw. They just chose to ignore us and let us do our thing because there are fucking amazing people like that out in the world."

I laugh loudly. "You're and idiot." I shove him playfully.

"I wonder what the people in the front lobby are going to think when they see us walk in like this." Juan chuckles, looking down at our soaking wet outfits.

I look over at him. "Maybe we should wait till we dry off a bit. I wouldn't want us being the assholes who brought the whole ocean in with them."

He nods, looking around. "Yeah, okay. Let's find somewhere to sit." he takes ahold of my hand and begins running to the place where we ate at not too long ago. I'm completely out of breath by the time we reach the restaurant. "Hey, you!" he points at the girl who was our waitress earlier. "Remember me? Guy with the really cool shirt." he gestures at his shirt. "Do you mind if we sit at the table we were at like an hour ago? We kinda went into the ocean and we want to dry off a bit."

The girl smiles, nodding. "Of course I remember you guys! The beautiful girl and guy with a cool style." she gestures at the empty table. "Go ahead, that table is normally empty anyway. Do you guys at least want a drink?" Juan and I order a 'sex on the beach' just for a fun laugh. After she takes our orders she leaves us alone again.

"I think this should be our spot for the rest of the trip." I nod, leaning back in my chair.

"I do too."

"Here you guys go." she says smiling.

I like her. She seems nice. "Thanks. What's your name?" I ask curiously.

"Laila." she answers back with another smile. She looks like exactly how I would imagine a Hawaiian girl looking like. Beautiful tan skin, long dark locks, and an amazingly kind smile. "What about you guys?"

"My name is Juan Luis, her name is Adrianna." Juan answers for me with a wide grin. I think all of his drinking from the last few hours is finally catching up to him.

She nods. "Cool. Hey, we've got a luau going on tomorrow night here, it would be cool if you guys could come."

Juan and I look at each other for a few moments before slowly nodding and looking back at her. "Yeah, that could be fun." I nod.

"Great. I'll be expecting you guys tomorrow night. I'm gonna go now before I end up getting in trouble. See you guys later." she gives us a small wave before walking over to another table full of awaiting customers. It's past 10:00 PM and this place is still busy.

"A luau sounds like fun." I nod, taking a sip of my drink.

"Yeah, it does."

We sit in comfortable silence before I decide to just fucking bring up what's been on my mind since we first got here for dinner a few hours ago. "I saw the way you looked at that family earlier tonight. The lady with her baby." I shrug, looking down. "I didn't realize how badly you wanted a baby."

He clears his throat, clearly uncomfortable. I hate that I make him feel that way with my question but I knew I had to bring it up. "Yeah, I don't know, I kinda got caught up looking at happy they were. It looked nice." his eyes widen. "Not that we aren't happy! We are, we're extremely happy, but like, imagine that type of happiness. That has to be an amazing feeling." his lips curl up into a small smile just at the thought.

"I had no idea how much you looked forward to having kids one day, Juan. I'm sorry for not realizing it sooner. It must've sucked when we found out I wasn't actually pregnant." I frown.

He shakes his head, finishing the rest of his drink. "No, I'm seriously fine with it. It wasn't our time yet. But yeah, having kids, a wife, just a family of my own in general is probably my number one personal goal and dream. From this whole experience I can assume you don't want kids as badly?" he crosses his arms over his chest, leaning back in his seat as he waits for an answer.

I shrug. "I've always been kind of on and off about the whole idea of brining kids of my own into this world. You know my dad left my brothers and I when I was young." he nods. "Yeah, well I always wondered why he helped in creating four defenseless children that he was just going to leave one day. I never understood it. Why have kids if you're just going to let them live a life full of pain and disappointment?" I clear my throat, feeling it hard to swallow because of the huge lump in my throat. "I've just never wanted to put someone through the pain my Dad put me through. I just want to be really sure about the person I have a child with. And I'm sure about it with you Juan, I really am. It's just now I have all of these wonderful new things happening with my career and I really wanna wait." I quickly wipe away a stray tear that falls.

"Yeah I know, Bonita. And I want you to really be sure about having a baby when the time comes. I want you to be content with your career when we decide to make this big step." he nods, holding my hand from across the table. "And you know, I've always thought the opposite way about having kids. My Dad didn't necessarily leave us the way yours did but he did leave to go start another job in a different part of the country after my parents got a divorce. He left me with my mom and sister, seeing them heartbroken killed me. I want kids because I want that perfect family I never really had growing up. I love my family and wouldn't trade them for the world, but I would love to give my child a family that had both parents equally there, you know?" he shrugs. "I know I could be the best Dad in the world." I smile at the positive outlook he has on this subject.

"I know you would be a great Papa too." I smile, giving his hand a squeeze. "I'd actually wanna try once we're married, you know?" I shrug, sitting back and taking a sip of my drink.

He nods. "Yeah, we'll definitely be doing plenty of baby making once we're married." he winks like flirty teenage boy would. He's definitely a little buzzed right now.

"Hey, Laila! Can I get another one of these please?" Juan exclaims, when he sees the Hawaiian girl walk past us in a hurry.

She walks over to us quickly. "Uh, sure. I just got off of work. I'll make sure one of my friends brings your drink over." she takes the glass from his hands giving him a tight smile. She looks eager to get out of here. I don't blame her, she must be exhausted. "Do you want another one?" she asks me, eyeing my drink that's still half full.

"I'm good." I shake my head, smiling.

"Why don't you want another drink?" he frowns once Laila has disappeared into the kitchen.

I laugh. "I think one of us should get to the suite at least somewhat sober. It's clear that I'm going to have to be that someone."

Juan doesn't pay me much mind as he scrolls through his contact list. "Should I call my mom? I think I'm gonna call my mom." he nods. I snatch the phone out of his hand before he has a chance to call his poor mother.

"I think you shouldn't. It's eleven here which means it's way later in Colombia right now. I will be keeping this with me for the rest of the night." I nod, clutching his phone tightly.

Walking back to the hotel with this drunken Juan is going to be a blast, I'm sure of it.
