As we pull into the school parking lot, all I can do is gasp. Just the outside of the school took my breath away. Let's just say it is much bigger than my old school.

"(Y/n), I can show you around the school if you'd like." Scott volunteers.

"Umm...sure!"

"Cool, I'll show you to the office so you can get your schedule."

"Great!" I say as I follow him into the school. As we enter the office, I immediately see the secretary at her desk.

"Oh! Hello, there! Is there anything I can help you with?" She asks.

"Oh! I-um..." I stutter. "I'm new here and am wondering if I could get my timetable," I manage to say.

"Of course! What's your name, sweetie?" She asks.

"(Y/n), (L/n)." I say with much more confidence.

"Here you are! Let me print it out and grab that for you." She says as she gets up and makes her way behind the door behind her.

She comes back in a matter of a few seconds. "Here you go. This is your timetable and this is your locker number. You are welcome to design and decorate your locker. This is the same locker you will have throughout the year. And I expect Mr. Summers will show you around?"

"Yes, ma'am." Scott speaks up.

"Okay then, best get to it so you aren't late to class." She tells us.

"Okay, thank you for your help." I smile.

"You're welcome!"

As we leave the office, Scott and I start up a conversation.

"What's your first class?" He asks.

I look down to my paper and read my timetable. "Ummm... it says 'Homeroom with Mr. Wright'." I respond.

"Oh! That's my first class too! I'll walk with you there." He offers.

"Thanks. I'm going to have to get used to this school now. I barely know how to get to the kitchen in the Institute." I laugh.

He laughs with me. "Yeah, the Institution is very complex. Here's your locker. Mine is just across from yours so we can always meet here after school ends."

"Great!"

"So your teachers should give you your needed books so go here after every class to drop them off. But I guess you already know that." He shyly says.

I giggle, "Thanks."

After unpacking my notebooks and other school supplies, I grab a notebook and a couple pens and pencils and start walking to class with Scott.

"Well, here's our class. You can sit with me if you want." Scott suggests.

"I would like that." I smile

*Time Skip* *Lunch*

As I leave the lunch line, I hear my name being called.

"(Y/n)! Over here!" As I turn to the direction of the voice, I see Kitty, (who's calling me), Rouge, Kurt, Jean, and a couple other people I don't recognize.

I make my way to their table as I stop next to Kitty. "Hey guys!"

"(Y/n), I would like you to meet Duncan and Tracey." (A/n: I can't remember her name for the life of me so if you do remember please comment it so I can edit it to the correct name. Thank you!)

"Hi! Nice to meet you! I'm (Y/n) but I guess you already know that..." I smile shyly. Although I'm a generally outgoing person, with new people I'm usually shy and reserved.

"It's nice to meet you too." Duncan laughs.

"So... where's Scott?" I ask. "He said we have the same lunch period after Homeroom got out and I haven't seen him since."

"He should be here soon." Jean answers. "Oh! There he is." She says, pointing if the direction of the lunch line.

I turn my head in that direction and see Scott walking up to our table. "Hey guys!" He says sliding into the seat next to me.

"Hey." I greet.

"(Y/n), how were the rest of your classes?" Scott asks.

"Pretty well. I had Jean in my Science class as well as Kitty and Rouge in my English Literature class."

"What is the rest of your schedule for the rest of the day?" Duncan asks.

"I have Mathematics next period." I tell them.

"Cool! So do I!" Duncan tells me.

"I am  have it too," I hear from beside me. I turn to look at Scott and smile.

"It'll be nice to have some familiar faces."

"What are the rest of your classes?" Rouge asks.

"So I have Women's PE after that. So I assume you girls have that class too?" I question.

"Yup! Every girl in our grade goes to that class at the same time."

"The boys have the same PE schedule but we're separated from them." Tracey tells me.

"Oh okay." I smile.

"But you will see us for a couple minutes before our grade separates. Meaning that after we change we will still be together for a few minutes until our coaches tell us to go wherever is needed." Scott explains.

"Okay, I get it."

"So then what's your last class, girl?" Kitty asks.

"Um... let me check." I say pulling out my time table from my pocket. "It says I have History."

"Oh good! I have that class as well." Kurt pipes up.

"Great! So I'll have at least one of you in each of my classes." I smile.

After talking and eating for a few more minutes, the period bell rings.

"Wow. Time flies quickly when your having fun." Jean says.

"I guess so. I didn't even realize it's already been an hour." I laugh.

"Well, I got to get going to class now. See you later!" Duncan tells us before speeding off.

"Wanna walk with me, (Y/n)?" Scott offers.

"Uh, sure! I'll have to stop by my locker first if that's okay."

"No problem, I need to stop there too myself." He smiles.

"Okay, great!"

Once we reach to our lockers, I grab a unused notebook, a couple pencils, and wait for Scott.

"Okay. I got all I needed, so let's head to the classroom now." Scott suggests.

"Okay." I giggle out.

(A/n: Part 2 of this chapter will be out soon. I just wanted to at least get something out because I haven't updated in forever. I'm less busy now so I'll be updating this book more often hopefully.

And also.....

Thank you for 1k reads! When I saw that on my screen, my face literally burst into smiles and squeals of joy. I'm so happy that people are actually reading what I put out.

Also, if you haven't noticed, this chapter is much longer than what I usually put out. I'm trying much harder to put longer chapters in and to put more details.

Anyways, this A/n is so long I'm going to end it here.

Thank you for 1k!
