[I'm laughing because honestly the chapter names never have anything to do with the chapter.

This is the Dust Bowl Dance by Mumford & Sons. Yes, super popular. Pfft

I would have updated earlier but my wrist was having problems and well, texting was one handed and that was painful and I most certainly was not going to type because moving it hurt like a fucker.

I think this book will be finished soon. Maybe not. I'm trying to be original here. And that's hard because every time I keep thinking I've stolen ideas and I'm not trying. Please do keep that in mind.

Also, I jumped back on the MTG train. For you guys: MTG is Magic the Gathering. A card game I learned from my dad (who has been playing for...over two decades and has third generation cards) when I was nine.

So between building my decks, searching up extremely (mythical rare) rare cards, legendary creatures, and other cards and trying to purchase them, I have been busy. Well I have also been playing, don't get me wrong. Just to sorta put out randomly: It makes me happy whenever I beat my dad because he is HARD to beat if he has his cards in the right order.

So in other words: I HAVE BEEN BUSY

I know I typically respond the moment you guys comment, that is because I am 99% on my phone and wattpad is installed and LOVES to tell me when you guys comment, I get an update...or I post a message on my own board. Like wow I couldn't tell XD but I am actually busy.

For the people that keep commenting about January 23 (being Raine's birthday in one of my other books) IIIIIII was very...me in that book. I didn't quite have inspiration at the moment, so January 23 came easily because it was a few days off of mine. However, heh, someone's last name in that book is mine as well.

That is becauseeeeee no one could tell if it was my name because everyone relates it to a separate fandom, if you think you can guess it just message me or comment. Woooo, yes super fun ( I did actually roll my eyes at what I just said )

Anyway sorry for the long note, I hate to put these because few actually read it.]

[Anddddd then my computer decided to die. Thankfully it didn't ACTUALLY die. It does this lil 'here let me pause your music, 'turn off' and let my screen go black so I LOOK like I died as a warning.]

I yawned and moved around in my bed. I was NOT a morning person to say at the very least. Or well, I was not a lovely 'just awake' person. I closed my eyes for a moment, starting to drift off when suddenly I hear my phone buzzing.

'Nice legs, daisy dukes, makes a man go whoo-hoo!' [however you want to spell that]

I instantly jumped up and grabbed my phone, sliding the accept button before checking to see who it was. "Hey," I heard a familiar voice. I couldn't quite place it yet, since I had just woken up. "Who is this?" I checked my phone, seeing that they were not in my contacts. "I'm Dirk's younger brother, I was-" "Well that's a little odd. I don't normally get phone calls from my friends' younger brothers," I laughed barely, closing my eyes again.

"Yeah yeah, well look, Dirk and I are going to the movies and he invited the rest of his friends and wanted to know if you wanted to come," "Why didn't he just call me himself?" I yawned. "He lost his phone yesterday so he asked me to call," I nodded to this before I heard a door open and Dirk speak, "Hey Dave have you seen my phone-oh hey John," I was a little confused but shrugged it off. "Hi Dirk!," John responded cheerfully. "Hold on," Dave muttered, responding to Dirk, "No, we already talked about this." "No we didn't but okay, whatever," Dirk sighed.

"Um..." I said hesitantly. "Was that Rae?" I heard Dirk ask. "What?" Dave spoke up. "Nevermind, just, get in the car, we are leaving in five minutes," "K." Dave said as the door closed. "I said hold on," Dave seemed slightly irritated. "Well sorrrrrry princess, I just woke up, and am confused,"

"Just...get ready to go to the movies with your friends. The movie starts in fifteen, it's right around the corner from your house practically, don't worry about being late," "Um...k," I sat up, stretching again to wake up.

"Bye," Dave said abruptly, ending the call. "Jerk," I muttered. Jesus, since when were thirteen year olds so bossy? Oh right, since always. I got up and walked over to my dresser, checking my reflection. My eyes seemed a little sad, but that was normal. I pulled off my clothes and threw on a pair of black jeans and a fitted white COD shirt. I rushed to the bathroom before fixing my hair and applying the bare minimum of make up. I quite hated caking my face in that shit, if I ever wanted to look fake that was the way to go.

I applied some eye liner and mascara before grabbing a black combat jacket and my lovely black converse that were looking a little on the worn side. I glanced around for my bag. Where was it? It had my wallet in it. I checked under my bed, not there. I checked by my door, not there. I checked my closet and still not there. I groaned and walked to my brother's room, banging on the door. "What do you need?" He snickered, opening it barely. I gestured to his room and he mocked me, gesturing to me, "I don't understand this," He laughed at me, irritating me but hurting me at once.

"DEREK!" My mother yelled from the room over. She opened the door, coming out sober looking. I flinched when she yelled and Derek froze. "What is going on?" She huffed, placing her hands on her hips. "I, uhhhh, took her purse," "Well give it back? What the hell is wrong with you kid? Does it seem acceptable to torture your older sister?" "N-No ma'am," He stuttered.

This is Derek, the biggest jerk I know. Well, that's a lie. He acts all big and tough but the moment he gets scolded by authorities he chickens out. I guess most thirteen year olds are like that however. I sat there, eyes wide as he went into his room, coming back with my bag in hand.

I snatched it from him and hugged it to my chest, relief washing over me. My mom turned to me and smiled, waving me off. "Go Raelyn, just call me later once you get done with whatever it is you are doing," I nodded barely, unsure as of how she knew I was going out. Well, since when did I actually look acceptable if I was just walking around the house?

I walked down the stairs, walking out the door quickly. I rushed to the movies, before realizing that I had no idea what movie it was. I checked my phone to see that Dave had texted me earlier giving me the time, place, and name of the movie. Okay, so Transformers it was. I got there quickly, wiping the perspiration off my forehead and walked up to the ticket machine, swiping my card before purchasing the ticket. I looked back, searching for my friends. "Rae," I heard right behind me. I jumped up, startled, and turned to see Dirk alone.

"Why are you here?" He raised an eyebrow. "I-umm," My face heated up, suddenly confused. "D-Dave said you lost your phone a-and that y-you asked the group to come to the movies," I was a stuttering mess, mainly out of embarrassment, and the other part out of confusion. I had dressed up for this and now just stood here like an idiot. I wanted to run as quick as I could just to go home and hide from this embarrassing moment. Dirk stood there for a moment before sighing, "Damnit Dave," He sighed. "What?" I tilted my head, confused.

I glanced around and spotted Dave and John snickering behind one of the columns, hiding out of Dirk's vision. "He told me I was here to chaperone his little group of friends while they went to the movies, but...he got out of the car and bolted away so I just made my way here," I bit my lip for a second, looking around. I felt like a fool, how was Dave's lie even believable?

"So...we were set up?" I glanced at him, finding that his gaze was still on me. Even if I couldn't see his eyes, the angle of his head gave it away. He nodded, holding up his ticket. "Well since I bought my ticket, do you care to go to a movie?" He smiled for a moment before it vanished.

My face went beet red. "W-Wait, isn't that classified as a date?" Dirk waved his hand in front of my face, "Hello? Is Rae there? Since when does she speak? Much less stutter?" I hanged my head and muttered a sorry. "Hey," he said firmly, forcing me to look up. "It's fine, I was joking, but it's only a date if you want it to be," I had never really thought about Dirk and me being any more than friends, despite everything that had happened lately.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Dave fist pump and brofist John, who fell from Dave's force. "Yeah," I smiled, "I would like that a lot."

[Andddd done, have fun with that. Comment, Vote, Share, Hate, I don't care. It's just an upd8]
