All we ever needed
Was love
And care
But we wanted more
Being greedy
And spoiled 
All we ever needed
Was family
But we wanted more
And then lost it
Leaving us alone
And sad
All we ever needed
Was a little money to survive on
But we wanted more
Making us work
And waste our days
All we ever needed
Was ourselves
We could do anything
Just with our hands
And our heart
All we ever needed
Was a home 
No matter what size
But we wanted more
Trying to find better
Wasting our money
And ending up with nothing 
All we ever needed
Was you
You were my life's path 
Helping me along
