RILEY'S POV

"I have to home! NOW!" I scream at Jonathan. He looks startled at first until he processes what I just said.

"No!!!!! You can't leave me! I won't let you!" Jonathan yells at me.

"My parents haven't seen me since the night before tryouts! They already lost me once, they can't handle losing me again. They've only had me for like 2 months. I'M LEAVING!!!!! NOW!!!!!" I yell at him.

"Fine but you can't stay with them. I need you. Especially since tomorrow is the start of October...." He says. Why'd be get all quiet on that last sentence? it doesn't matter. I have to go.

"I have to stay with them, I'm only 17!!!! I don't turn 18 until November!!!!!! I'm leaving and staying with my parents whether you like it or not!" I scream. I stomp out of the room with Jonathan hot on my tail.

I get lost and Jonathan goes in front of me to lead the way out. He's being quiet which concerns me. This isn't gonna be good when he explodes. No one should hold in their feelings; they'll explode.

"Pick a car." Jonathan deadpans.

"The Ferrari." I say getting excited. I have always wanted to ride in a Ferrari, but then again who wouldn't want to.

We both get in the car, me on the passenger side with him driving.

"1024 Pool Road." I tell him.

"I know." Jonathan says. He knows where I live. Talk about a stalker.

We sit in tense silence all the way to my house.

I get out and walk inside. I am immediately bombarded with hugs of relief and questions of concern.

"Where were you young lady? I thought you were kidnapped again. I even called the cops!" My mom cries.

"Umm...I was with Jonathan." I reply meekly.

"And who is Jonathan?" My father asks getting protective of his little girl.

"I am Jonathan sir. Riley tried out for the football team yesterday and since I was the captain last season, I had called a last season team meeting. Riley wanted to know what was going on so I invited her to the meeting." Jonathan explains, sending a subtle wink in my direction.

"Well than why did you stay over at his house?!?!" My mom asks raising her voice again.

"Umm.....I was....There was.....I got sleepy during the meeting because I barely slept last night, due to the anxiety, I fell asleep. Then it was too dark to walk back to the school." I lie.

"Why did you need to walk, couldn't you just drive?" My father questions.

"Everyone rode together. So I left my jeep at school. Speaking of which, can I go and get my car?" I say.

"How'd you get here then?" Sydney questions. When did she get here?

"Jonathan dropped me off. I forgot that my car was still at school. Sorry." I respond, directing my apology at my parents.

"No, I will send your father to get it. You are grounded! And you..." My mother yells. Then she points to Jonathan.

"You will not go near my daughter. If I catch you spending time with her more than necessary, I will cut off your head and make it into stew!" My mother yells.

"I will not stay away from my mate!" Jonathan yells at my mother, his eyes getting darker.

"What do you mean mate?" My mother asks suddenly nervous.
