The rain keeps on pouring down on me. My body's shaking because of the coldness. My teeth are chattering... I'm lost out here all alone in the darkness, my head on my knees.

Someone... Please save me. I want to get out of this as soon as possible.

"There you are"

Huh?

Did someone just say something? I look up from my knees and there stands a tall figure looking down on me. I recognize those dark green eyes and that voice...

The Shinobi!

I quickly get up and wrap my arms around him. "You're here! You're here! Thank goodness..."

"Kaoru, I'm here. Don't worry" He hugged me back, comforting me genty.

"You're here..." I keep repeating. My arms hug him tightly. I never thought I'd do this, but, Finally... Someone's here for me.

"You're shivering, are you okay?" He asks.

"No..."

"Come on, let's go back home"

I nod and he holds me tightly. Our surrounding suddenly changes. We're back inside the cave again. This place feels so comfortable while it's raining outside like this.

"Welcome back" He says.

I sit down near the wall and curl up into a ball again. I still feel so cold.
He sits down beside me and pats my head. "You should change your clothes first"

I shake my head. "I'm not gonna change in front of you"

"I'll leave then" He gets up.

"No, don't leave me alone again..."

"I'll come back when you finish changing" He leaves me my change of clothes and disappears.

I don't want to change but I have to. My outfit is killing me. So I get change quickly and curl up again.

After a while, he reappears. "Still cold?" He asks.

I just nod. He sits with me and pulls me onto his lap.

What??!?

He embraces me in a motherly way. "How about now?"

"Much better" I reply honestly. He's keeping me warm. It actually feels really good. I feel like I'm inside safe hands.

I tuck his shirt and he looks at me. "You're... Not mad?" I asks.

"I am" He says. "But, I still care"

He... Cares? It warms my heart just hearing him saying that. Why do I feel this way towards a stranger?

"I'm sorry, I really am" I say.

"There's no need to apologize. It's fine"

"No, I'm sorry. I... I shouted at you, I yelled, I threw insults... Yet, you're still here for me. Thanks, I'm... Grateful"

He just flicks my forehead and chuckles. "You're so cute"

My cheeks are on fire again. "But... That... That doesn't mean that I believe you and your crappy stories!"

"I know it takes time" He cups my cheeks and pulls me closer. Our foreheads press against each other's.

This guy... What kind of spell does he casts on me?

Our faces are so close, too close... Now he does looks like someone I know. But, who? I can not think of anyone.

If I pull down that mask.. Maybe I'll be able to recognize him.

I reach for the black mask covering the bottom half of his face, but he slaps my hand away.

"Don't" He says... But somehow, it kinda sounds like a plea to me. Why is he hiding it? It's not that ugly, is it...?

From the looks of it, it's not. That's what I think... His black Raven hair, his forest green orbs... They're pretty... Attractive.

What am I saying?!

Sure, sure, he's good looking. But, I can't possibly fall for him. This jerk!

I pull my head away and get back down, nuzzling his chest. It feels nice. He chuckles... He knows. Do I make it too obvious that I enjoy being with him? 

He pats my head and embraces me tighter. So warm... I forget about being cold for a while. I'm so glad that I'm still alive that I don't care about anything.

Do I know him? He really does looks familiar...

Our hands wrap around each other to prevent the coldness that's freezing me. Outside, the wind is hurling and swirling. Raindrops pouring down heavily form the darkened sky. lightning flashes here and there, I feel so safe in his arms.

If he hadn't been there for me, I would've been dead by now.

"Thanks..." I mutter before falling asleep in his arms.
