Dom's POV

She looked at me with confusion.

"Dom? Cute," she said to me.

I looked at her and said, "I'm not kidding. I'm here to apply."

She had a surprised look on her face. I knew it was a long shot, but this was perfect. It would get me out of my parent's house, and she needed help.

I moved from the chair to the couch and looked at her, "Kami, you need the help, and I need to get Mikayla and myself out of my parent's house."

"I don't know," she said to me with concern.

"Look, I love you, and I know you love me. We don't have to rush into anything. If you want, I can sleep on the couch. But I think it would be great and I can drive you to work every day," I offered.

She looked at me, and Georgia leaned over the back of the couch and said, "I think it's a fabulous idea and forget the couch. Kami has a comfy bed."

"Georgia!"

"Kami, it's time to stop acting like a prude. You both already did the nasty. Plus, Dom's probably the only decent one out of the group who we interviewed. At least we know he's normal," she said to her.

She looked at her, then me, and said, "I'm not going to win this one, am I?"

"Nope," we both said.

"Fine," she sighed as I smiled and pulled her into a kiss while Georgia giggled.

I was tired of going to bed alone, and Mikayla loved her to death. I wanted to be with her every day. I tried to wake up next to her and see her beautiful face.

I knew she would never agree to this if I suggested it, so I decided on a different approach. I knew that this was the best way for us.

Then her phone rang, she answered it.

"Hello?"

I sat there, and we looked at her.

"Noah? What's going on? What? Why? Are you sure? Okay, calm down, we'll be there," she said, hanging up. She looked at us, "Ava broke up with Noah."

"Why?" Georgia asked.

"Something about she said she didn't want to hold him back. He's at the park," she said as she stood up. We followed her out of the apartment.

*******
Dom drove us to the park. I have never heard Noah that upset. He was rambling. We pulled into a spot and got out of the car. Georgia and I walked towards him as Dom followed us.

We were leaning against a wall with his back to us. I walked over and touched his shoulder. He turned and looked at; I then pulled me into a hug as he cried.

My heart ached for him. He and Ava were so close, and when they started dating, it was so cute, but it got severe over the next four years. Noah loved her with everything he had. It was so intense.

I held him, and Georgia hugged him from behind. Our Batman needed us.

We finally got him calmed down and sat down at a picnic table.

"I don't understand. Ava said she would try, and then today, she asked to meet her here. Then she said she couldn't do it. She couldn't hold me back. It wouldn't be fair or right," he said as his voice cracked.

We sat there and listened as he spilled his entire self out to us. The emotions were so raw.

I reached over and took his hand, "Noah, maybe this is for the best. Four years is a long time to put your life on hold for someone, whether it's you or her," I reasoned.
