We arrived home and got settled. Then we picked up Mikayla. We got lots of hugs and kisses from her. She told us all about Christmas and what Santa brought her. It was so cute listening to her talk.
In a few months, I would legally be her mom, which I couldn't wait. She also wanted to name the baby Casper. Dom and I explained to her that would not happen, but she could call the baby Casper if she liked, although we needed to find out if we were having a girl or a boy.
After picking up Mikayla, we drove over to my parents to see them. Plus, I wanted to fill them in on what's going on.
We pulled in and got out of the car, making our way inside. My parents, along with Georgia and Justin, greeted us.
"How was the honeymoon?" Mom asked.
"It was fun except we ran into Uncle Brent, Aunt Mel, and Ava," I said casually to them. They looked at each other as we walked in and took a seat. I sat next to Georgia, who looks like she was ready to pop.
"Okay, you look huge," I smirked.
"Yeah, don't remind me. I can't sleep, my ankles swollen, and I'm in the bathroom more than I'm out of it," Georgia sighed. I couldn't help but giggle as everyone joined us.
From there, Dom and I explained everything to them. It surprised them. Let me rephrase that Georgia and Justin surprised - my parents not so much. Figures they knew things we didn't.
As we all talked, I felt something wet.
"Georgia, I preferred if you didn't pee on me," I said to her.
"I'm not peeing," she said, confused until she yelled. "Sonofabitch!"
I stood up as did everyone else as she grabbed her belly.
"Looks like the baby came today," Dad said.
"What?" Georgia looked at him.
"Princess, your water broke, and you're in labor. We need to get you to the hospital," Dad told her.
"But I can't. I need to get married first," Georgia winced in pain.
"A little late for that, don't you think?" Dom asked her as I smack his arm.
"I don't care. I'm not having a baby born out of wedlock," she yelled as dad and Justin helped her up and out of the house. Leave it to my sister to want to do things properly at the last minute.
We made our way to the hospital, and they took Georgia back along with Justin, except I also got dragged in the back. That is one time I wish weren't so close.
While we were busy with Georgia, our parents were trying to track down a minister. Luckily, they came across someone in the hospital.
They walked up to a guy with dark hair, talking to a staff member, "Excuse me. Are you a minister?" Dad asked him.
He turned around and looked at them. "Last time I checked. Why?"
"Our daughter is having a baby and wants to get married. Someone said there was a minister in the hospital," Dad said to him.
"Who the hell gets married while delivering? That's something one of my twit brothers would do," he retorted.
"Can you help us?" Mom asked.
"Yeah, sure, why not?" He shrugged as he followed them.
They found a nurse who led the minister back to where Georgia was. He walked in, and we looked at him, "Who are you," I asked.
"Reverend Nixon Gray. Someone got married today," he introduced himself.
"The baby is coming," a nurse yelled as the doctor took his seat. I was on one side, and Justin was on the other side. What happened next would be one for the memory book.
