Lea's POV
I was grabbing my breakfast in the kitchen when I heard my laptop made a sound. I get my cereal and coffee first before I go to the living room because my laptop is there. I sat down and put the bowl of cereal and cup of coffee on the table. My eyes widened when I saw that Hailey's calling, a video call. I immediately grabbed my laptop and placed it on my lap and accepted the call. I automatically smiled when I saw Hailey whom still wearing her PJs. The cutest view ever!
"Hi, Mama! Good morning!"Hailey
I smiled when she waved her hand. Ugh! This making me miss her even more!
"Mama, are you okay? Did you eat your breakfast already?"Hailey
I chuckled because I know that she's really making sure that I'm taking good care of myself.
"Well, actually, I'm having my breakfast right now. How about you? Did you eat your dinner already? Where's Ninang Cha?"ako
She smiled and nodded.
"Yes, Mama, katatapos ko lang pong kumain. Sabay po kami ni Ninang. Tapos ngayon may tinatapos pa pong work si Ninang, she's downstairs."Hailey
I nodded and stare at her until I caressing the screen of my laptop.
"Mama misses Hailey so much."ako
I sighed. She forced a smile.
"Ma, I want you here, but I understand that we have to be departed for a while."Hailey
I just nodded, napakamaintindihin talaga ng anak ko.
"By the way, Mama. Are you already working on what you have to fix there?"Hailey
I wasn't able to respond immediately on her question because I don't know how to answer, I don't even know if there's actually an answer to that. What would I even fix? Broken things? Not just broken, because it's impossible to fix.
"Hay. Ikaw talaga, anak!"ako
Panggigigil ko sa kanya na ikinatawa niya. I wish I could hug her right now because I badly need a hug from her.
"Seryoso nga po, Mama. Have you fixed it?"Hailey
I just exhaled and shook my head.
"Mama can't fix it anymore, but it's alright. Mama's all right."ako
"Ooh. So, you're going home then???"Hailey
I shook my head.
"Not yet, honey. The contract for the project is one month, and today is just my second day. So, more weeks pa. Don't worry, Mama won't lose time for her baby, okay?"ako
She smiled and nodded three times, understanding.
"Do you already brush your teeth?"ako
"Yes, Mama! While humming my favorite lullaby."Hailey
I giggled.
"It's too early pa naman, anak. So, Mama will sing you a lullaby. Tuck your self in bed, hun!"ako
Her eyes widened as she gasped.
"Really?! Yey! I will! Wait, Mama! Saglit po!"Hailey
I grinned and watch her who stood up and jumped out from the bed. I pout and wait for her. When she came back she's already hugging her favorite Sofia the First bolster. She fixed her bed then put the laptop at the side table and I can't help but to chuckle while watching her doing that. Even though I know that she can handle herself without me, I still want me to be the one who'd do that. She's really growing up and it hurts.
