Chapter Ten: Blank Confession

Tao turned the movie off playing on the TV, and turned to Catie.

"Tao, it wasn't finished!"

"I know, but I want to give you your poem for the bet."

"Poem? We agreed on rap though."

"Just listen to it."

Tao smiled and pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and started talking.

"Catie, when I first met you, you irritated me. But, we've been with each other everyday for almost a month now, and I have to say, it has been the best moments of my life. I look forward to seeing you everyday as soon as I awake. Just to hear you laugh, see you smile, even comforting you before you go to sleep. It's you that makes my day. Catie, I knew it when you hugged me after your history project, that I was in love with you. Before that, I questioned myself. But once I felt you show me gratitude, I didn't want to let go of that hug. That time when I picked you up bridal style, I really did it to see how it would feel to make you my bride. When I complimented your eyes that same night, it just slipped from my mouth, because I was mesmerized by your beauty. When I didn't stop tickling you earlier, it was because I didn't want to stop hearing your cheerful laugh that filled my ears with joy. Catie, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen on this entire planet. Even if it's forbidden in the guardian world to love a human being, I will do anything to change that, because I don't want to give up on you.....I would love to change you, to us. Catie, I'm in love with you.....and I would love to make you my first, and last love. I love you Catie."

Catie couldn't speak or move, she could only smile. Tao laughed and waved a hand in front of her face.

"Catie? I would like if you responded."

Catie nodded with her huge smile, and started speaking. Until she noticed the paper.

"Let me see the paper."

Tao slowly handed it to her, blushing a lot. Catie smiled and looked at Tao.

"There's nothing on this paper...it's just blank."

Tao nodded, and spoke up.

"I spoke everything from my heart, Catie."

Catie smiled even bigger, and started speaking like earlier.

"You know Tao, I was confused about you as well. But tonight, when we nearly kissed, that's when I realized that I was in love with you too. I always love the way you style your blonde hair, and how you have a boyish mentality. All in all, you're just really cute and perfect. I'm happy you became my guardian.....I lo-.....love...."

Tao laughed and started crawling towards Catie, cornering her on the bed against the headboard.

"Say it Catie."

Tao purred against Caties lips, making her shiver and blush.

"Wow Tao....your bold all of a sudden."

Tao smirked, knowing Catie wanted to say what she felt.

"It's because I know you can tell me. Come on Catie, say it."

Taos lips grazed against hers, making her smile.

"...I love you Tao..."

"I love you too."

Tao kissed Catie passionately, and pulled back. Catie smiled and bit her lip, tempted to make a move and kiss him back. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and leaned against his chest.

"Tao, I'm sleepy."

Tao smiled and pulled back, staring down at Catie.

"Do you want to go to sleep?"

She rubbed her eyes and nodded.

"Okay, you can be my giant panda tonight."

Catie questioned him as she laid down.

"Your giant panda?"

Tao laughed and pulled her into a cuddle as he laid down next to her.

"It means I get to cuddle with you all night!"

Catie sighed.

"I think I take back everything I said."

Tao cuddled her even more.

"What was that?"

Catie squealed against him.

"I said you're the best Tao!"

Tao released a little pressure.

"Yeah, love you too."
