Era's POV
Mabilis pa sa alas kwatro akong umiwas ng tingin nang magtama ang mga mata namin ni Cross. After what happened last week, I couldn't face him. I ran away from him again and now I'm ignoring him completely. I tried finding the book all over the academy but to no avail. I even tried talking to the Headmistress, since I'm now part of the Mystics I thought I could freely talk to her. Pero nung nasa office nya na ako — don ko pa lang nalaman na she's away for a trip and she'll comeback after a year. I tried telling the guardian at the door that this is important, but it insisted that nothing's more important than the Headmistress' business.
At isali mo pa 'tong si Cross! He keeps popping out of nowhere everywhere I go— but I just treat him like air. Wala akong panahon sakanya. He's not helping my find the book so why should I talk to him?! He's of no use!
I glanced at the bracelet on my hands. At least the bracelet he gave me is pretty! But ugh!
He's just stubborn as heck. Especially now that we're at the arena training like hell. He keeps assisting me and insisting to help on things I could do by myself. Nasaamin parati ang attensyon ng ibang mga Mystics, I could feel their gaze on me and Cross. Alam kong pinag-uusapan na nila ako. Well, Arzel's comments couldn't have been more quieter! *note the sarcasm*
I keep glancing at Keiji, nagtatama naman ang mga mata namin but whenever we do he just quickly looks away. I tried saying hi but he's just treating me like how I'm treating Cross.
Wala naman akong nagawa sakanya ah? Why is he ignoring me?
"That's what you're doing to Cross!" A voice on the back of my mind spoke.
Well, he did something I didn't like! I mean, ano bang dapat gawin? Tumambling?! I don't even like him! What he did was out of the line! I didn't want that! Never ever ever!
But... his lips.... they were so sof—
"Era!" Napaigtad ako ng may nakita akong electric ball na bumulusok papunta saakin. My body went cold. Shoot.
Without thinking I stretched my right hand determined to do something that could stop it. I wasn't disappointed when a beam of light came from my hand and distinguished the electric ball. Kumunot ang noo ko ng makitang hindi ito purong puting ilaw kagaya ng di ko sinasadyang ginawa noon. It's has now reddish-black hue.
"I traced where the last magic from the bracelet was, I only found red and black ashes." I remembered Cross' word.
