Era's POV
As we walked through the darkly lit corridors of the Academia, Cross' can't seem to keep his distance. "Cross, 'wag ka nga masyadong dumikit." Bulong ko sakanya.
"Can't. I'm protecting you."
"Protecting me from what?" I asked. "There's literally no one here but us."
Cross sighed. "Just let me be." Pilit niya kaya umiling-iling nalang ako.
I focused my attention back at the decors in the corridors. I smiled. They're full of bloody red roses. So pretty. Roses just like the one in my now broken necklace.
The atmosphere is welcoming but it physically does not look like how it makes people feel. The walls are black, the giant windows, and I only see black paint— the only colors were from the sun outside, the red candles lit, and the red roses on the sides of the walls and the stairs. It's literally dark academia aesthetic if I might say. "So beautiful."
"You call this beautiful? It looks dull and lifeless." Reklamo ni Cross saakin.
"Pwede ba? I know beauty when I see it and I see it here. It's beautiful! It's enchanting and mysterious, that's what makes it beautiful." I smiled.
Tinignan nya lamang ako. "If you say so, Princess." I just rolled my eyes with the nickname. Cringe.
"Why is everything... so dark? May candles pa? Are we gonna be sacrificed?" Rinig kong natatawang bulong ni Arzel. "Hindi naman obvious that it's a dark academia noh?" Natatawang hirit nya pa ulit.
Using the heat from my light I snapped towards him small freckles of light. Parang yung tumatalsik na mantika kapag nagpi-prito ka, but this time it's light. "Ouch!"
Napangisi naman ako dahil don. "What was that for?!" He asked, offended.
"Shut up. Arzel." Suway naman sakanya ni Healia. "Era started it!" He exclaimed.
