Years passed. It's been a long year. Six--seven years? I'm not sure. But one thing's for sure I'm going back to Philippines. My mom called me that she needs me there right away. She said my little brother got mad because I wasn't able to come to his birthdays these past few years. Mom said my brother wants to see me even just for his birthday. Since, my conscience bothers me a lot I agreed to what Mom said. I'm going to surprise my brother. I'll make him happy.

"Mom, are we going to see granny?" I averted my attention to the cute little boy who asked me.

"Yes baby, we're going to see your granny, your grandpa and your tito Trixon too." I smiled at him. Lumapit siya sa akin at umupo sa aking hita.

"But mom, why I am calling Trixon my tito? We're about same age right?" my son asked innocently.

"He's a year older than you and he is my brother. That's why you should call him tito." agad naman siyang tumango tango. "And besides he's going to celebrate his birthday next week and he's turning eight, you know he's older, baby." ngumiti ako sa kanya. Napansin kong nanlaki ang kanyang mga mata. Oh what is it this time son?

"Will he become old fast just like granpa, Mom?" natawa ako sa inosenteng tanong ng anak ko.

"No baby, it's not that. He'll grow slowly by slowly just like you. We have stages in life son. You'll understand it soon." tumayo ako at giniya siya papasok ng CR. "Now you go wash yourself because our flight is fast approaching."

My little boy grew to fast. He's turning seven. I won't be shocked if might get a girlfriend soon. I smiled. I heard my phone rang and saw my mom calling.

"Anak, ready na ba kayo nga apo ko?" excited na usal ni Mommy.

"He's on the bathroom at the moment Mom. And yes we're excited. How's the preparation by the way?"

"Ohh that? It's done honey. Ikaw na lang at ang apo ko ang kulang. I miss you two." napansin kong namula ang mata ni Mommy. And I feel sad about it.

"Don't worry Mom. You'll see us both later. I'm glad pinayagan akong mag leave ni Madam sa work Mom. She gave me a definite leave."

"And anytime soon you'll go leave that job of yours because our company awaits y
for you. Your dad wasn't getting any younger honey. You know that." Mom said in a serious tone.

"We'll talk about it when we get there Mom. Okay? I'll go fix our things. Bye I love you."  agad kong binaba ang cellphone ko at inayos ang aming dadalhin.

Kanina ko pa napapansing walang imik ang anak ko. Nakadungaw lang siya sa labas nag sasakyan at pinapanonood ang nagtataasang gusali na aming nadadaanan.

"Baby, are you okay?" I let him face me and touched his dark-silky hair. Napasimangot siya sa aking tanong.

"Mom it's hot in here." reklamo niya na nakanguso ang bibig.

"Baby this is Philippines. We have nothing to do with that, it is really hot in here. Maybe one of these day it'll rain and the climate will go cold, do you want that?" agad siyang tumango at ngumiti sa'kin.

"Ma'am, di po tayo maka ungos. May nagkabanggaan ata sa kalsada medyo nagkaroon ng traffic." sabi ng driver namin. Napansin ko nga na medyo marami ng naiinip sa kahihintay. Well atleast hindi lang kami ang magsasakripisyo kahihintay dito.

"Okay lang Manong. Baka maya maya maging okay na yan." tumango naman ito. Lumabas siya ng sasakyan at mukhang makikiusyuso pa ata sa nangyayari, hinayaan ko na lang.
