***Long Chapter Ahead***
"Micha, if we don't get to your friends in time, they might get to us first." Jungkook warned, crossing his arms.
"I know..." I muttered, trying to think of how we would manage to find them. Although the police might not know where to find us, if they're the ones in my side of town, they're professionals. They'll definitely know what they're doing, and exactly where to start looking. Since this side of town is so close to the other side, they might even assume the worst and start looking here.
"Do you have any ideas?" Jungkook asked, and I shook my head.
"Didn't you say that I had to follow your lead?" I asked, and he shrugged. I muttered under my breath sarcastically, "Sure acts like the expert here..."
"Hey! Listen, this is new to me too. I'm not the expert on finding missing people, and neither are you, so we've got to work together on that part." Jungkook argued. "I can take the lead with the information and details on BTS, but you've gotta give me a hand for the investigation aspect."
I sighed, knowing he was right.
Jungkook looked off to the side, and placed his bag of newly bought groceries on the floor. "I'm starting to rethink this whole situation... If we get caught, then the police'll assume the worst, no matter what we tell them. If I could bring you home myself, then they might understand," he added softly, and my eyes widened. He couldn't be actually changing his mind... Right?
"No, you don't get it... I can't go home yet, not without my friends!" I complained, and Jungkook shook his head.
"Micha, it's for the best."
"But-" I started, unsure of where this argument was going, "If I go back alone... There's no telling what their parents would say. My parents wouldn't care, but Jina and Yuna's... they knew we were together last night. If I came home but my friends didn't, you have no idea how upset they would be."
"Micha, I-" Jungkook started to argue, but stopped himself and sighed. "You do have a point, okay? We can't tell how far they're going to take this search, and if it'll be too much for us to be able to do our jobs."
I stared at the ground in silence.
"If we're careful... then maybe. But we can't just be running around like idiots doing whatever we'd like, because we're going to run out of time. Either the police will get to us first, or BTS; and neither of those options sound very good to me." Jungkook continued.
"I'm not going home." I stated as I looked back up, and Jungkook sighed.
"Okay– okay! Fine, you can stay here... I mean, it can't be too bad... We just need to be careful." He agreed, and I grinned. As usual, I always got my way.
"Thanks." I replied, the grin still present on my usually serious-looking face.
After shyly standing around for a minute, Jungkook sat down on the couch, and I joined him.
"We need a plan, and if not a fully thought out plan, then we at least need somewhere to start." He said, and I nodded.
"Do you know where BTS is?" I asked, and Jungkook stared at me for a second before bursting into laughter.
"Of course I do! What, how'd you think I watched them if I didn't know where their hideout was?" He replied, and I shrugged.
"I don't know, I was just asking!" I replied, and Jungkook sighed.
"Whatever, where was that question going, anyways?"
I sighed, and continued. "You should probably show me... so maybe our next step should be to scout out the place."
