New training today. Who can I compete with?
I put on my mask before leaving my quarters and activated it.
Now I'm sitting in the gym and waiting. When will they finally arrive?
After a felt eternity, the door opens and Tony comes in with someone I certainly would not have expected. Spider-Man.
"Here's your opponent today", he says, eyeing me. I just smile for a moment.
"Are you serious ???", I ask incredulously
"It's my first real training and I should fight him?", actually it's not my first training, but forget about that.
"Oh, is Speedy worried about being hurt?", he asks.
Did I understand that right?
Did he just call me Speedy?
It doesn't sound bad at all, but when he says that, it makes me angry.
"Certainly not Spidey", I say,
"I just don't feel like mashing the poor little spider".
"Good luck", he says, I feel that he is smiling under his mask. I can't stand this guy.

"So what's up, do you dare?", he asks. The next moment I stand in front of him but he doesn't see me. I'm too fast for him to see me, everything's in slow motion around me.
What should I do?
I hit him in the face, so he flies backwards.
As he prevents himself from crash against the wall with a net, I'm already standing on the other side of the room, smiling.
He didn't expect that now.
He lands on the ground again and consideres, now I start my next attack.
It goes on and on, I don't know how many minutes, if not hours, have already passed.

I'm just trying to attack him again.

Peter's Pov.

I try to recognize which direction she's coming from.
"Do you notice anything Karen?", I ask.
"Attacker at 9:00 o'clock", the voice tells me, I immediately shoot a net in that direction. Then she becomes visible again and falls to the floor startled. I caught her legs. She tries to break free as I slowly approach her.
"Nice try", I say, smiling in triumph. Suddenly she kicks my legs off and I land on the floor rudely. Then I see her standing over me.
"Don't underestimate me", she says cheekily grinning and leaves.

Somehow, her appearance seems familiar to me. Amanda is like that when we play video games and she wins.
In many ways, this girl is like Amanda, I think and leave the room. It's strange.

I should message her again.

Amanda's Pov.

I walk quickly to my quarters. I can't believe I fought him. Since Ivm the intruder in his territory, it would have come anyway anyway.

I let myself fall on the bed and just want to close my eyes, when I'm suddenly awakened by a message again. It's from Peter. Let's see, what type of lie he'll serve me.

Peter's Pov.

She just lied to me!
I asked Ned earlier. He said that she is with relatives because of a death. That's what Amanda's grandma told him. And she would never lie about it. That means she doesn't know where Amanda is.

That was stupid of me now. I don't want to argue with her, she's my best friend.
But I can't tell her the truth.

What is she not telling me?

Shit! Now she is mad at me. I should have stopped.

Amanda's Pov.

Seriously?
He lied to me as well!
I can't believe it, little tears roll over my cheek. I wipe them off and see that another message has arrived.

I put the phone away, lie down and think about.
It also needs to be cleared soon, I can't hide it from him anymore. But what if he hates me then or I put him in danger?
I can't lose him!
He's my best friend and really important to me.

Will he understand?
What if not?
I have to forget my fears and be honest.
