We just stand there and look into eachother's eyes.
It feels like an eternity that passes.
"That's why all that happened?", I ask after a while.
He nods, whereupon I start to smile and hug him.
It couldn't get better.
"How long already?".
"A while", he says.
That's why he quit the friendship, that's why that happened on the movie night.
Is that why I didn't like Liz?
Now I realize a lot.
Was I in love with him the whole time and didn't notice?
Mathematical formulas were no problem, but to decode that was probably too difficult.
Slowly I pull away from him.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?", I ask as we sit down and I lean on his shoulder.
"I didn't dare, if I had done it, but you didn't reciprocate it, I don't know what I would have done then.
You do, right?", he asks uncertainly.
"Of course I do", I say, kissing him gently on the cheek.
"I'm really relieved", he says, making me laugh.
"What?", he asks, confused, because I can barely stop laughing.
"That's so cute!", I say.
"That's not cute at all", he says, playing offended.
"It is", I say, standing up.
"Let's have lunch", I say, pulling him to his feet.
"It's on me", I hear as we leave the apartment.
"You shouldn't have said that right now, I eat a lot", I say with a grin.
"Oh man", he sighs.
