Exhausted, I come home and close the door behind me. Aunt May is currently in the kitchen. "Nice to have you back, your teacher called me and said you missed another lesson in school", she says disappointed. "I'm sorry", I say. "Listen Peter, I know you fight evil, but you still have to focus on school, I don't want that to happen again", she says, looking at me. "We're going to have dinner tonight, Bella and I thought it would be a good idea to meet at seven in front of the restaurant tonight". What? Bella, Amanda's Grandma? Great! "Why do I have to come with you?", I ask. "If you're not the crime fighter or school student, you're just sitting here. You haven't done anything with your friends for a long time", she says, so that's it.
Amanda's Pov.

I sit in my room and do my homework as a message from Peter appears on my phone.

I quickly finish the homework and go to Grandma, she is sitting in the living room and reads one of her favorite novels.
"Have you already picked out something to wear?", she asks, I'm looking at her questioningly. "Can't I go like that?". First Shuri wants me to wear something else and now Grandma. Grandma just looks at me in horror. At such moments, I always just think Grandma comes from different time when it was normal.
That reminds me of the past. My mother always told me about Grandma. How she was when Mom was still young and Grandpa was still alive. At the weekend, they always went to eat in the restaurant. Like me, my mom didn't like to dress fancy. In many ways I'm like her, we also looked alike. Aside from the eyes, hers were green.
Sometimes I think about what it would be like if she was still alive. Maybe then I would still be normal. Then I certainly would not have met Peter and Ned, because then I would rarely have been in New York just to visit Grandma.
"You're right", I say and go back to my room. Somehow I like Grandma's old fashioned way.
I'm looking for something in my closet. A particular dress, long sleeves and simple. I've only worn it once so far when I was at a concert. That was one day before I jumped off the cliff and Tony took me out of the river.
When I finally find it and present it to Grandma, she is overjoyed. What's that all about?

Slightly annoyed, but at least ready, I'm on the way with Grandma. The restaurant is only a few blocks away. I have been there a few times.
When we arrive there, May and Peter are already waiting. Shortly after we sit down, a waitress comes and takes the orders. Grandma and May start talking while we wait. "Do you think that it's so boring, too?", Peter asks and I nod. Slowly I let my eyes wander through the restaurant. There are only a few people here, including a group of teenagers that I've never seen here before. They don't look like they're from here either. They keep looking at us. Strange.
I turn away from them again and look to the waitress who brings the food. At the moment I would rather eat Pizza with Peter and Ned. I'm so lost in my thoughts so I don't realize that Peter is waving his hand in front of my face. I look at him slightly startled. "Eat, otherwise it'll be cold", he says with a laugh. During the meal we talk a lot and laugh. The time flies by. On the way home we walk ahead, May and Grandma behind us. Unlike expected, the evening is quite nice, we talk about already experienced adventures. "And then you were unconscious after you jumped?", he asks when we stop at a traffic light. "Yes, I just wanted to come up when everything turned black", I explain and we move on. "And do you know if the people were from Hydra?", he asks curiously. "Unfortunately, I don't know that, but who else should it have been?", I ask. "No idea," he says. We are just one street away from our apartment. "Now I can at least imagine what was the reason for your disappearance at Homecoming Ball", I say softly, but he hears it. "Yeah right, it was because of a mission", he says just as softly as I did. "At that moment, I was really sorry for Liz", I say. Peter knew from the beginning that I didn't exactly like Liz. It is true that she is very nice, but there's anything I didn't like about her. "I know that was not fair to her, but you don't know why", he says. "Then tell me", I please and look at him. "If we have time to talk undisturbed", I keep saying, she turns to her grandma and Aunt May, "Can Peter stay with us today? The guest room is free", she asks. "Of course, but don't come home too late tomorrow", May says to me. She smiles triumphantly, "So now we have time to talk", she says and then says goodbye to May. Perfect!
