We were outside the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. Most of the students were unharmed except for poor Midori-chan who basically busted his limbs.
"You're hurt..." Todoroki muttered, thankfully he was soft enough to not attract attention.
I waved him off, glancing at the peeling skin. "I'll be fine~ Its barely bleeding." I joked, wiping my forearm against my jacket to extinguish the fire that was beginning to form. "Ahh, I need to mend this jacket too." I clicked my tongue at the parts of fabric destroyed by the stupid guy with the hand fetish. The boy frowned at my attempt to change the subject and he pulled my arm towards him, fully exposing the flaked skin and large cracks in it. I hissed annoyed, trying to pull it back but he kept a firm grip. "Let's go to Recovery Girl."
Any attempt for me to refuse pretty much disappeared as the boy spoke to one of the teachers and dragged me on the bus to head back to school.
As we settled into our seats, exhaustion finally set in as my adrenaline left me. I struggled to keep a grip on my fever but ended up slacking, my body beginning to heat up. I couldn't keep it up for long, the moment I passed out, who knows what could happen with my blood literally boiling. I began to freeze my arm, Todoroki looked shocked but I gestured for him to leave me be. Soon a small layer of frost covered my skin, my blood cooling slightly but the ice was melting.
I tried it again but I began to overheat, and fast.
"Crap, this isn't good." I laughed incredulously. "Todoroki, can I ask you something?" He nodded briefly and I proceeded hastily. "If I am to pass out, freeze me." He looked very much puzzled. "You know how my quirk works right? I have a bad fever right now and my blood is going to be volitile if I loose consciousness. To be safe, freeze me. Make sure I'm not thawed till I'm awake again."
He looked skeptical, a little worried but nodded nonetheless. I smiled. "Thanks, I'm sorry-" A spike of pain and my vision turned dark.

Pain. Not to the point my head is about to split open but stiffling pain. My mind feels muddled.
Yup, this was another fever.
Curious?
Well seeing as how my blood heats up as part of my quirk and how I need to sweat, leading to both dehydration and over heating, this is pretty much self explanatory.
I have this crazy fever every few months, I never really know when it hits but its amazing how it always arrives at the worst times.
I don't even want to open my eyes.
What have I done now? Burned down a house? Frozen a lake in a last ditch attempt to cool down? I have to wake up don't I?
I bite back a groan as light floods my vision. Too bright. I blink away the blur and the world spins around me. I blink again, hard, cobwebs in my head slowly clear away and I wait for my eyes to adjust again. Red fills my vision.
'What...? Wait-' before I can stop myself, I reach a hand out to touch that red blur. I feel something soft and my vision finally adjusts. "...hair...?" My voice is hoarse, almost croaky but nonetheless. How long was I out?
I try to shift but I'm stuck by something draped over me. Feeling around I discover stiff sheets pooled around me.
I turn my attention back to the red ball of hair and notice some white strands of the same hair that blended into the pearly sheets. Shifting some of the hair aside I spot a familiar pale face.
I strain my eyes down and his hand is wrapped around my waist. I scoff humorously under my breath and gently shift his arm off me, and admittedly admiring his toned muscles from under his shirt. I sit up and notice where I am. The door of the room and a small desk line the wall to my right and a hospital type separation curtain is drawn to my left.
I pull back the lilac curtain and spot a small old woman seated before a table. A few cabinets are along the wall and small bottles fill each shelf.
I shift myself up so I'm leaning against the headboard and she turns to look at me.
"If it isn't Sora-kun. How do you feel?" I nod my head. "Better. Did I burn anything?" I'm almost hesitant to ask but she reassured me, saying that I had caused no damage.
I nod absentmindedly and ask about Todoroki. "Oh, he brought you here and I asked him to stay for some regular checkups just in case. The other bed we have is currently being used by Young Midoriya so I hope you didn't mind sharing one with Todoroki?" I shake my head, giving as convincing as smile as I could muster. She grinned back, almost like a grandmother would and handed me a few tablets. "This should help finish bringing the fever down faster." I nod again and pop the pills into my mouth, taking a swig from the glass of water she passed me.
The water soothes my aching throat and I take another gulp, setting the empty glass on the metal side table.
I feel movement beside me and turn to find Todoroki seated up, hair more tousled than usual with strands sticking out here and there. I give a soft chuckle and smooth the hair back down.
He seems alert enough but rather dazed as he allows me free styling of his hair. In the meantime he accepts the cup of water Recovery Girl hands him, sipping it almost like tea. He holds onto the glass while Recovery Girl dismisses us.
We leave the room after bidding a goodbye to the prohero and the green haired boy who was still half asleep.
"Do you get fevers often?" Todoroki looks at me with his piercing heterochromic eyes, demanding an answer. I laugh a little hesitantly before replying. "I guess? More than the normal person, usually they aren't so bad, I can usually control it so I don't burn whatever I touch. This time I'm guessing that because of having to fight off villains, I aggrivated it when I used my quirk." He nods, seemingly in thought as we walk out of the school.
We walk in mostly silence, not that I was in the mood to talk. Rare, I know. But the pills were making me drousy and the thought of having to cook dinner made me question if I was even hungry. As we reach my alleyway, I wave goodbye. "See you tomorrow-" "wait, could I come visit your apartment?" I looked back at the boy quizically.
