Chapter Twenty-four : 1A Students Against Hero Killer, Stain

"We can't do anything just knowing his quirk though," murmured Midoriya "I wanted to hurry up and carry those two out of here...but he can react so fast he can avoid ice and fire."

"We can't leave ourselves that open." I huffed. I needed to find a way out of this situation and fast.

"I think our best option is to hold on by avoiding close combat until the pros get here." I nodded to Shouto's words but I knew I wouldn't work for long."You guys have already shed too much blood, I'll distract him so you guys support me from behind-" I shook my head. "Sorry Midoriya but me bleeding is the best you can get me~" I smiled and the other two seemed shocked. "As long as I keep it burning, he can't get near enough." I grinned, flames slowly engulfing my arm.

"But Sora-" I turned to look Shouto in the eye. "Trust me~" I smiled and he hesitantly nodded before I crouched low, Midoriya right on my tail. "Let's protect them..!" I grinned. "Yes!" "Yeah."

"Three against one? It wont be easy." I grinned, the promise of challenge making me buzz with excitement despite the situation. 'Lida, I always thought you were going to do something ever since your brother was attacked, even more so when you went to an average hero agency in Hosu. I know what it feels like to act on revenge and impulsive feelings. I know all too well how it can narrow your field if vision so much that revenge is all you see.' But I couldn't afford to empathize for long as I dodged an attack from Stain. I manuvered around him to leave his sight and move faster than he could follow. I used my explosion combination to help stun him more and distract him as Midoriya landed punch after punch.

Shouto covered us from behind, shielding us with pillars of ice and attacking whenever he could.

Stain had managed to cut into Midoriya's arm and knock him into a wall. "Midoriya!" I pushed him behind me and built up a wall of ice just as Stain was about to cut him down the middle. "He's moving completely differently from before..." He muttered into my ear and I nodded. "He's getting desperate, he knows the pros will be arriving soon." I whispered back as I send a wave of fire at the approaching Stain who dodged. We split up again, trying to work around him while keeping his eyes on us and stop him from licking the drops of Midoriya's blood on his sword.

"S-stop... I'm already..." I heard Lida stutter.

"IF YOU WANT TO STOP US THEN STAND UP AND FIGHT!" I snarled, slamming my palms onto the floor to cause the earth beneath the hero killer's feet to ruptured just as the man hopped away. "LOOK PROPERLY AT WHAT YOU WANT TO BE!" I heard Shouto yell as I was shoved to the side and he went after Shouto who was quick to react, blasting fire at the man.

I heard him cringe but at this point blood was rushing to my head. I hit the wall hard and I was getting disoriented. I saw flashes of that damn old man but I can't focus on that now. He wasn't here. Shaking my head I looked around, Lida was shaking to get up to his feet. Shouto and Midoriya were cornered.

My head hurt and my blood burned. Jesus I was wearing out. I wanted to end this, now.

I rushed at him as silently as I could and managed to slam him back, but he returned pretty darn quickly. I was lost in a blur, instinct almost completely taking over as I barely look at anything else but the man's face. He was trying to cut me and I was trying to hurt him. The world seemed to slow and I was faster to block him.

He pulled out a dagger and I twisted it from his hands but he landed a strong blow to my gut. Everything felt numb. I had to restrain him.

I elbowed him and he tried to slash at me again. I pushed his wrist aside and reached a flaming hand to his face before a a sharp pain slammed into my gut. I gasped and stepped back. A deep stab wound by my waist, blood pouring out.

He was about to lick his knife and I mustered all the strength I could to kick it out of his hand.

I fell to floor, held up by one of my knees.

I was alone.

I had to beat him.

I had to-

"Soma!" A voice snapped and a wall of ice appeared between me and the hero killer. I looked back, Midoriya was by Lida and Shouto looked worried.

"Heh, I messed up didn't I?" I clutched the wound, blood was oozing out fast.

They walked towards me but I get back up, my air getting knocked out if me in the process. "I'm fine, this won't kill me~" I grinned but I guess it wasn't too convincing.

The hero killer sliced through the ice and smirked at the damage. I clicked my tongue and lit the blood along the wound on fire. I would be able to somewhat stop it myself but that would take too much attention and energy that I just didn't have now. I froze the wound to stop most of the blood and stood back up, palms crackling.

I felt it burn, the electrcity sizzling in my veins. Recalling how Kaminari used his quirk, I slammed my hands to the floor, waves of electricity pulsing at the hero killer.

Shouto began to back me up, sending daggers of ice at the man while Midoriya pondered for ways to stop him.

My arms were hurting. My wounds burned and I felt suck to my stomach but I kept at it, using pulses of electricity to keep Stain at bay.

What happened next was a blur, a synchronized attack from all of us was what Midoriya came up with. We finally managed to take him down and we tied him up with some brambles that I made.

Then, a voice appeared and Stain was taken down by none other than the Pro Heroes who sure took their own sweet time...

I slumped to the side and grinned at Shouto. "We did it."
