Chapter 2

BROOKE'S POV

The note says "I am going on a date with Ian, I'll be back around 9 call me if you need anything love you! Oh and I left some money if you guys wanted to get food! -Mom"

Ian is the guy that my mom likes. I just don't understand why. I didn't think she could go out with anyone because if what happened to my dad, but if she's happy then I'm happy. Both Sam and I don't really like Ian. There is just something about him.

Eventually Sam and I order the pizza and it arrives. We pay for the pizza with the money my mom left for us. We eat and then watch Netflix. We are currently watching Pretty Little Liars. After we watch a couple episodes we go back up to my room.

"Brooke, I am so damn excited to go see Shawn and all the Magcon boys in person!"

"Yea me too! Speaking of which let's order our VIP tickets now!" We go online and get them, luckily for us they weren't sold out yet. I sigh in relief and Sam does too. Now we are beyond excited to go!

Soon after we are having a dance party because we are so excited for Magcon we get ready for bed.

"What are you going to do when you see them?" I ask.

"I am going to koala them!" And we are both now in fits if laughter. We are in our phones about to go to bed and neither if us said a word. I checked the time and it was 10:30. I hit worried because my mom said she was going to be back at 9:00. I call my mom and she doesn't answer me. After the fifth time of calling with no answer I throw on a sweatshirt and pull my hair back into a pony tail.

"Sam get up we are leaving now! Ill explain on the way!" She immediately gets up because she knows I'm not joking and this is serious. We get I'm my Jeep and speed off.

"What's going on?!" Sam says with worry in her voice.

"It's almost 11:00 and my mom was supposed to be back here at 9:00! I called her at least five times and she didn't answer! We are going to the cafe because that's always where they go when they go out." For the rest of the way we are silent.

When we pull up to the cafe I see nobody in there but my mom and Ian. My mom is sitting in a chair with ropes holding her back and duct tape covering her mouth.

"What the fuck is going on!" We open the door as fast as we can and before I know it Ian punched my mom in the face giving her a bloody nose and it looks like a black eye.

"Ian what the hell is wrong with you!? What are you doing to my mom!? Leave her the fuck alone you desperate piece of shit! Go back with your other girlfriend and leave my mom the fuck alone! You here me!" While I'm saying this the cops burst through the door and have Ian in handcuffs. Sam was being smart because while I was standing there about to get my ass handed to me by Ian, Sam was calling the cops.

While Ian is being thrown in the cop car he says to me, "Your mom was first now it's going to be your turn next when I get out of this hell hole! I know you and Samantha will be in California for the summer, so expect to see me there. In the meantime have fun while you can!" I flip Ian off in tears and run to my mom to release her from what that saitainic mother fucking big ass nose piece of shit creature did to her.

She is in tears as well. The cops come over and my mom tells them everything and answering all the questions. The cops send us to the emergency room to go check my moms nose and eye.

When we got there, they said my mom had a broken nose and a really bad black eye. They fixed her nose when we were there and they said that she had to be careful with what she does. Also on our way out they gave us pain killers.
