Hyungwon and you are trying to find a way out now that Nolan isn't around, and since Yuta is the one in charge of you two he decided to keep an eye for you even if he knows that escaping will make the things worse. Right now, you are inside the main room with Hyungwon trying to open up the windows but they are locked from outside.
-This isn't going to work, Nolan sealed up all the windows – You said frustrated while putting your back against the wall.
-Let's keep on trying somewhere else, there's has to be a place that isn't closed nor locked – Hyungwon said as he sighed.
-Why don't we search for clues? Yuta is missing some before they can put him straight into prison – You said thoughtfully.
-Haven't you searched for clues? – Hyungwon asked confused.
-I did but it was in the other house I was in, I haven't searched inside the mansion – You said as you pointed at the closet that was half open.
Immediately, Hyungwon and you got towards the closet and started to search for any piece of evidence you could find against him, and as expected there were a lot of papers in almost every drawer. While looking down where the shoes are, you saw a black box underneath a pair of white high heels, you took the box out and you opened it without thinking twice. As soon as you opened it, you saw a lot of pictures from your wedding with him, and you looked so happy back then which is a shock for you since you never loved him.
-You looked pretty as a bride – Hyungwon said with a settle smile as he got towards you.
-No, I wasn't that pretty that day. I remember that I didn't want to be amazing for that moment, I just went out as I thought it would be nice – You said while looking at the pictures.
-You were thinking about your father? – Hyungwon asked as he started to look at the pictures of the box.
-Actually, I was thinking about Kihyun, no one else – You said before you sighed.
-You look so happy here – Hyungwon said as he showed you off a picture of you cutting the cake with Nolan by your side.
-I was just glad that everything was almost over, I never loved him – You said as you released a settle smile.
-You just did it for your father, right? – Hyungwon said as he put aside all the pictures.
-Yes, but nothing was worth it – You said as you kept digging inside the box when suddenly you saw at the bottom of all a white envelope, you took it out from the box and you stared at it very confused and in the back from the envelope you could see "Solved" written down with black ink.
-What is it? – Hyungwon asked confused as you started to open it up.
-I don't know... - You said before you took out the things it had inside.
You started to look at all the papers and they all belong to a case that wasn't solved, it looks like everything was from an investigation. –Yuta! – You shouted as soon as you saw a photo. Yuta came inside the room immediately and he got towards you very confused.
-I'm Kim, don't you remember? – Yuta questioned a bit upset.
-We found what you've been searching for – You said as you gave him the photo with the rest of the papers.
As soon as Yuta looked at the picture, he started to burst down in tears, he tried to breathe calmly but it was almost impossible for him. You immediately started to hug him tightly and you tried to console him the best you could, what you gave to him is his mother's case that was stolen from him when he first started to investigate about her murder.
-Thanks a lot, Y/N, this is everything we needed to get him down – Yuta said as he tried to stop sobbing.
-Thanks to you for never giving up on her, I know that she'll be resting well now that you have what you needed – You said as you smiled with watery eyes.
-Take a deep breath, everything will be over soon – Hyungwon said as he patted Yuta's back gently.
*TIME LATER*
Yuta left since he needed to go to the investigation center and see all the pieces of evidence he has so far, in the meanwhile, you are with Hyungwon just looking around the house while resting in the living room and since you couldn't do more you just talked about random things which in some points made you feel better.
-So, how did you met Nolan? – Hyungwon asked curiously while laying down on the couch.
-Well, he was a partner of my father's company and we met because at that time the company was getting fixed after almost losing it, and we met there when my father introduced us – You said while playing with your hair.
-He was nice back then? – Hyungwon asked while smiling.
-*Chuckle* yes, totally different – You said with a smile before the door got opened. Nolan got inside the mansion along with two security guards, he stared at Hyungwon pretty angry so you immediately stood in front of him trying to stop somehow Nolan from hurting him.
-Move Y/N – Nolan said madly as he looked at you seriously.
-No, just stop this... please don't hurt him anymore – You said before Nolan pulled your hair aggressively.
-Get out of my way! –Nolan yelled at you after he slapped your face.
-Do not touch her! – Hyungwon yelled angry as he got towards Nolan but before he could hit him his guards got towards Hyungwon and they started to hold his arms tight, in the meanwhile Nolan started to beat you up and he tried to rip off your top.
You started to tear up while Hyungwon was shouting your name desperately, and in a matter of seconds he got free from his guards' grip and he immediately went towards Nolan. He punched him down to the floor while his guards were trying to stand up again, Hyungwon took your hand and you two ran out of the mansion immediately when suddenly gunshots started to be heard.
-Kihyun's POV-
-So, what are you missing now then? – I asked concerned while sitting down on the bench next to him.
-Another witness, we have only two; Lee and you but we need someone else to declare against him – Yuta said seriously.
-*Sigh* and after this he'll go straight to prison, right? – I asked.
-Exactly – Yuta said while nodding.
-How are they? – I asked concerned.
-They are good, Y/N is taking care of Hyungwon – Yuta said.
-I expected to be the other way around – I said with a settle smile.
-Yeah me too, but Y/N still has the guts to keep on going and I think that's because of you – Yuta said as he patted my shoulder. –We're almost there, hang on.
