Lexa's pov:
I reach the clearing of the village beside Y/n. I catch her once again as she trips over a rock. Octavia and I both steadying her, putting the sleeves of her jacket over our shoulders. "We should get you cleaned up." I nod at Octavia's statement looking around the village to see if Clarke or her mother are anywhere to be found. Out of the corner of my eye, I catch the end of Y/n shaking her head as her eyes train to the ground. A small trickle of blood making its way from above her eyebrow.
"I'm fine." Her arm starts to slide off my shoulder and she starts to limp away, but I keep my grip on her arm.
"Seriously Y/nn, let Clarke look at you."
"Please." Y/n is not a bad fighter. She had managed to get me to the ground, but she gets distracted which leaves her open to attack. I noticed that she seems to find fit being the bottom, clearly more of a submissive type. Not that I am complaining. I can't help but think that there is secret anger in her waiting to erupt. Like Octavia. Maybe that's why they get along so well.
"I'm good. Thanks though. Today was fun," she starts to walk away again. We let her go knowing she is our kind of stubbornness.
"Til next time." She waves to us and limps along to her tent, her shoulders back in a proud march.
"Good pick. She's stubborn." I nod my head in agreement. My eyes on her bruised figure slowly clambering away.
"She has something to her," we start to walk through the clearing a small rustling of movement surrounds us, "we should check on her later and do this again tomorrow."
"That works. I'm gonna go find Indra and eat." I wave her off and make my way to my tent to clean up.
I get inside the tent and get undressed. I sit by the washbasin and start to wash off my wounds and dirtied limbs with a cloth. Watching Y/n fight today was interesting. Her eyes were observant. They shifted to watch body movement, darting from one spot to another. I take a cold wet cloth to all the cuts and bruises on my arms and chest. I have a pretty nasty one on my left shoulder from one of Y/n's punches.
The most remarkable thing to watch was how Y/n learned and adapted. No matter how many times she was put to the ground she never gave up. We never were able to get her on the ground the same way either. I noticed that with each fight the moves that would have brought her to her knees didn't affect her or land on her the same as it did the first time. She was ready to react and counteract the moves.
I grit my teeth as one of the cuts stings slightly. I dab the cloth over it a few times until the sting dies down. I look around the tent and am reminded that I don't know where Clarke is. I bite my lip and make my way to the bed to grab clothes. I wonder if there is food ready for dinner. I should go look and see if I can get Clarke and myself some. I slide on my pants. Struggling to pull them over my thighs. Must have built more muscle. I tug on a long-sleeved shirt and pull my hair out of the pony. I will have to visit Polis soon in order to keep a sure eye on the clans. I pull my hair over my shoulder and grab a brush.
Plus I am surprised I have heard nothing from the mountain men. Nothing of any grounders going missing.
Grabbing my sheathes with my blades and slinging them over my shoulder I make my way out of the tent and to the eating clearing. I look around the camp as I walk. Seeing a few grounders entering the main clearing of the village. I nod as I pass, shifting left towards the smell of food.
I enter the clearing and scan over the growing crowd. No sign of Clarke, but her mother is here. I make a note to ask her where Clarke is and to check on Y/n as my eyes lock with Bellamy who is eating with Octavia and Indra. I make my way to Octavia, grabbing food as I pass it.
"Bellamy, have we heard anything from the mountain men?" I look at him sternly. His mouth is full so he resorts to a shrug as an answer. I sit down beside Indra and start to eat.
"You trained this morning with Octavia and Y/n?" I see Bellamy perk up at the sound of Y/n's name.
"Yes. It turned into more one on one with one of us against Y/n. She refused to quit." I look down at my plate trying to hide to smile that crosses my face as I think of the shorter girl. I still never figured out where I knew her from.
"Have you gone to check on her yet?" I look at Octavia and shake my head.
"I wanted to bring Clarke or her mother."
Octavia picks up a piece of meat from her plate, "After we're done eating I will go with you to check on her. We can grab Abby," she makes a gesture with the hand holding the food towards Clarke's mom. I nod as I continue to eat.
There are a few moments of quiet before someone else speaks. "Did Y/n put up a good fight? She's always been tough." I look at Octavia as we both give slight nods to answer. I take another bite of my meat and look around the clearing. There are a lot of groups gathering to eat. I notice a few are solely grounder or skaikru. But some were a combination. I look back to the table and side glance at Bellamy. He seems to know a good amount about Y/n. I wonder if he knows anything about her tattoos.
I see shifting out of the corner of my eye and turn to see Clarke's mom making her way out. I look at Octavia and nod my head in the direction of the doctor. She looks and nods, getting up herself. I clean up and follow her as we catch up to Dr. Griffin.
"Abby." Dr. Griffin stops and turns to us. Her eyebrows raised.
"Yes?"
"If you have a moment will you please follow us. We have someone we wish for you to check on." Looking at the serious expressions on our faces, Dr. Griffin nods and follows Octavia and me.
I look around the camp trying to remember which tent is Y/n's. I pause my walking and look at Octavia in question. "Do you know which one it is?"
"Ya. It's the small one over in the corner of the clearing." I nod and we continue towards it.
"What exactly happened?"
I don't turn around as I answer Clarke's mom, "We were training. She's not up to our par but would not let that stop her." I feel my heartbeat rise as I think about the training.
We make our way into her tent to find that it is empty. "Do you remember seeing her at the eating clearing?" I look between the two before scoping around the tent to see if maybe she is hiding. The tent is rather small, but there are a few spots a small kid like Y/n could hide. There is nothing more than a bed, table, chair and a few boxes of storage. I notice on her bed there is a dirty leatherbound notebook and pencil lying awkwardly on the edge.
"No, I didn't see her." I move past Octavia to push it onto the bed.
"Okay well, then I will come by later tonight and check on her. You girls might as well continue on with your days." I nod, still slightly confused as to where she is. I feel the shift of the tent as the other two exit, and decide I better follow.
I come out of the tent and nearly run into Octavia who is saying thank you to Dr. Griffin. "Think she's okay?"
Octavia shrugs as we start to walk to a log in the clearing, "I think she's too stubborn to die. She's probably fine." I nod as we sit. My eyes scanning those who pass us, keeping the little tent in my peripheral vision.
