No one's pov:
Lexa gets up and brushes her snarled hair out of her face. She turns on her stomach to see Clarke's messy hair sprawled out on the pillow. She leans up and furrows her eyes in confusion as she realizes the smaller brunette is not in the bed.
The tall brunette lets out a sigh and leans down to kiss Clarke on her hair covered forehead. Lexa slowly makes her way into a standing position and leans to stretch her back, looking around the room for any sign of Y/n. She pulls on some loose fitting pants and a tank top and takes a moment to just watch the rise and fall of Clarke's body. The brunette pulls her sheath over her shoulder and makes her way out of the tent to see if she can find the small brunette.
She checks the eating clearing first nodding quickly to Indra and a few of her warriors. The young Heda makes a mental note to talk to Indra later in the day.
She ducks out of the eating clearing and makes her way to the little tent, trying to ignore the small tug on panic that is trying to surface. She enters the small tent and releases a small breath when she sees Y/n asleep in her bed. The taller brunette turns to her small puppy's desk and looks for the well-known journal. She finds it and quickly slips a small piece of paper in the front of the journal in hopes the younger girl will notice it. A small smile tugs on the tall brunette's lips as she imagines Y/n's reaction to the small slip that Clarke created for her.
Lexa takes a seat on the small stool and leans back on the desk to watch Y/n slowly breathe. The smaller girl's breath playing along with the morning songbirds. A light hum escapes from the sleeping girl as she dreams.
---
Clarke wakes up minutes later when her arm reaches over to find the other half of the bed is cold. She shoots up in surprise and pouts when her messy hair falls in front of her eyes. The blonde gets up quickly and pulls on a pair of her pants and one of Lexa's oversized sleeping shirts. She walks out of the tent pulling her hair up in a messy knotted bun and immediately makes her way to the little tent hoping to find her girls.
Coming inside she hears a small hum while Lexa's soft features turn to face her. The brunette waves Clarke over which she quickly obliges and pulls Lexa off the stool and into her lap letting her hands rest on the brunette's thighs.
Once comfortable, Clarke rests her chin on Lexa's shoulder following Lexa's gaze to the sleeping girl. "Did you bring her here?" Lexa shakes her head at the blonde's question not trusting her voice to be as quiet as Clarke's.
The brunette releases a sigh and turns her head to give a sloppy kiss on Clarke's cheek before she gets up from the blonde's lap. "I need to talk to Indra." Clarke's eyebrows furrow when she sees a small etch of worry on Lexa's face that the brunette is failing to hide. The blonde nods and grabs Lexa's hand to place a soft kiss, releasing moments after.
Lexa smiles softly, her heart beating loudly in her chest at the sweet small gesture from the blonde. She quickly leaves the tent and makes her way back to the eating clearing. Clarke lays leans back on the desk and tries to mirror the breathing of the sleeping girl, listening intently to the small hum to see if it may be a song. The blonde bites her lip thinking of what she could do to make the smaller girl smile when she wakes up.
Lexa's pov:
"Hello Octavia," She nods her head slightly while Indra looks at me with a questioned look.
"Indra, may I speak with you." "Of course Heda." I nod to Octavia and we make our way towards the meeting tent. I nod to a few of the passing warriors and hunters before entering the tent.
"Yes Heda," Indra nods to me as I sit in one of the chairs in the room. I take a few minutes to settle my thoughts and relax.
"Do the Azgeda warriors seem off to you." I see her jaw tense, "Do you mean with the bowing?" I nod my head. "Azgeda warriors are respectful, but they are extremely proud. They would never bow the way they did before me unless something is up." Indra nods, her eyes scanning around the tent like someone may be listening. I lean on the table slightly and pull my tank top down in hopes of taking away some of the tension that has built in the room.
"What do you think Indra?" She shifts her gaze back to me. Her flexed jaw and stone eyes tell me that I am not the only one who is suspicious. "Well, what are we go-"
"Lexa?" We both pause and shift our gazes to the tent entrance to find Clarke enter with one of the Azgeda warriors. My jaw tenses as I see the proximity between my girlfriend and the warrior. Clarke notices and shifts herself a step away probably trying to not start a fight.
"Yes, Clarke." She shifts her gaze from me to the warrior and back, her eyes sparked with anger, "he says there is a traitor among the skaikru that is giving information to the mountain men." My gaze scrapes over the marked face, my eyes narrowing. "Why do you think it is one of skaikru?" His eyes narrow to mine, "They have the most to gain from the gained trust of the Mounon, Heda." I see Clarke stare at him in pure anger, her hands balling into fists. I take a deep breath and release an exaggerated sigh to get her attention. She looks at me and nods, her hands returning to normal by her sides.
"The mounon want skaikru for their bone marrow, why would they risk putting themselves or the rest of the clans in danger?" The warrior releases a deep rumble from his throat. "skaikru is the thirteenth clan. Oso throu daun ogeda." His face turns back to stone with my statement. I keep my gaze focused on his, his jaw clenching as he sees he will not be getting anywhere with this discussion. "Dis nou ste odon." I release a quiet breath when the tent flap closes behind him moving my gaze to look between Clarke and Indra. "We cannot ask them to leave. As of right now, they are here for honorable deeds." I raise my chin to hide my anxiety. "I will not wait for them to hurt some of my people in order to kick them out."
Clarke moves closer to me and kisses me lightly on the cheek. "You're going to come get Y/n breakfast with me." I nod biting the inside of my cheek at Clarke's tone and turn to Indra, "please keep a sharp eye on them." She nods while I make my way outside hand brushing against Clarke's.
