Y/n's pov

I shift my gaze up to the canopy to watch the beautiful singing birds, pausing my berry picking as their songs fill the air. I shift my gaze over my shoulder to the underbrush, "Anyone there?" I pat my ankle to make sure my blade is in its wrap. I lean back down and finish picking the inkberries, filling up the last of my containers.

I hold my breath as I feel cold metal against my throat letting my knapsack and containers fall to the ground. "You let your guard down," I roll my eyes at her voice, feeling the pressure of her sword leave my neck.

I turn around with my eyebrow perked daring the brunette, "And why exactly are you following me?" She tucks her sword back over her shoulder and rolls her eyes while she helps me pick up my knapsack. "Just tagging along, not here to cause any trouble." My eyebrows flash high in shock, "Do you realize that is Clarke or Lexa saw you put your knife to my throat they would have pounded you." I place my containers into my knapsack and turn towards the direction of the river.

"Not to mention what they would have done if you reopened the cut," I stare back at her teasingly as she continues to follow me through the undergrowth.

"I can take Clarke," I laugh at her blunt tone trying to not trip over a tree root. "That's a good idea. Hurt me and then Clarke," I cannot help but let my smirk spread across my face, "Lexa would have a field day with you."

We grow quiet taking in the beautiful breeze and noises of the woods. Slowly, as we continue, the steady rumble of the river grows.

I make my way into my usual clearing, placing my knapsack down on my sunny rock and taking my sneakers and socks off.

I turn to Octavia while I wade backward into the water, feeling the tug of the current on my pants. "Hey," I wave to get Octavia's attention cautiously watching as her attention shifts from the woods nearby and her hand moves from the hande of her sword back to me. "Come on Tiny," my smirk grows when her eyes narrow towards me from the use of the old nickname, "try to relax for a bit." She put her sword on the rock and takes off her boots and socks, "I'm not tiny."

She wades into the pool, her intense glare not leaving my smirk. She stops just in front of me, I tilt my head to even out the inch she has over me attempting to egg her on more. "Prove it." Her smile grows and she doesn't hesitate to ram her body into mine.

I stumble back until I find my footing on the slippery rocks below the water, my gaze shifting back up to Lexa's eyes. She jumps towards me with her fist ready to punch. I duck into the water and dodge her feet from beneath the crest. I hook my arm around her ankle and pull up sending her thrashing into the water. She stands and kicks at my feet. I dodge but her heel lands on my shin. I fall into the water and sit staring at her smirk. I shoot my legs out and send her stumbling backward. I get up and land a punch on her shoulder. She grabs my arm and pulls my wrist behind me bringing me to my knees.

I keep my head down realizing she has me. I watch the water braze against my pants trying to ignore the tug of my shoulder being bent in the wrong direction.

"Give up yet screwball?" I roll my eyes and stay in my form, not quite ready to give up. Her hand pulls on my hair on the back of my head and then pushes my head forward and my face under water.

I don't fight and allow my body to go limp as my vision become blurry from the passing water.

My lungs begin to burn with the lack of oxygen, waiting for her to give up. I hear distant talk and the pressure on the back of my head gives way. I come to the surface to laugh at Octavia for giving up, but stop myself as I lock eyes with a worried Clarke and furious Lexa. Without hesitation, I step in between Lexa and Octavia holding my hands up to try and take away some of the tension.

"Lexa," I pull my hands away from Clarke who is trying to check and make sure I am okay. I put one hand in front of Lexa's eyes to interrupt her stare. "We were just messing around." Lexa lightly pushes me aside into Clarke who immediately holds me from moving and starts checking me for wounds. Octavia and Lexa stand face to face, neither showing any sign of breaking.

"Has she improved at all." I stop struggling against Clarke and look at the two girls confused at Octavia's chuckle. "She still fights like skaikru," Lexa nods and turns to Clarke and me, I swallow a lump in my throat at the intense stare Lexa gives me.

She takes my chin between her fingers and thumb, her eyes softening. "Ge smak daun, gyon op nodotaim." I open my mouth to reply but turns quickly to look in the woods, around the same area Octavia was looking earlier.

Her gaze shifts back to Clarke and me before she turns to Octavia, "Let's get back to camp." Octavia nods and begins to walk towards the shore, not paying attention I feel my legs come out from beneath me as Clarke pulls me to shore. "I can walk you know?" Lexa turns to me with a small smirk on her face, "Sure puppy." I struggle against Clarke's grip to try and reach Lexa and slap her for calling me a puppy once again, but stop as my still sore knee is slapped playfully by Lexa. I watch Octavia grab my belongings along with hers from the rock. "I can carry my stuff!" Octavia laughs, a devilish sparkle in your eyes. She walks up to Clarke and I and leans close to me, "Do what your masters want, screwball."

I roll my eyes at Octavia and cross my arms as I am continually dragged by Clarke.
