0.7 - false alarm

"Hello?" I answered. "Hey it's jack" he said. My eyes widened. "I think I'm at the right house. 262 Latrace Crescent right?"

(A/n not a real house number)

"Yeah bud that's it. Hold on one second." I muted it.

"What's going on?" Joey asked worried. "Uh your brother is in front of my house." I said pointing out to the window.

Jack was sitting there with his phone to his ear waiting for me.

"Shit." She mumbled. "Okay so here's the plan. You're going to sneak out the back quickly then I'll let jack in. Wait a couple seconds after he comes in, to leave." I explained.

"Alright."

We started to walk down the stairs when I heard the door open. "Hey jack!" Anna said.

"Anna." I whispered face-palming myself.

Him and Anna come around the corner and come face to face with us. "Joey? What are you doing here?" Jack asked.

"Uh-uhmmm" She said speechless. "She hanging out with me." Anna chirped up. "Yeah. I was hanging out with Anna." Joey said walking over to Anna.

"Alright then." Jack nodded giving us a strange look. "Have a nice day now." He said walking backwards then turning to walk up the stairs.

"Oh my god I thought Daniel would've told you." Anna said quietly. "No he didn't." I said still worried.

"Just be glad he didn't expect anything." Anna said.

"Yeah" I sighed. "Do you actually wanna hangout?" Anna asked.

"Yeah. Why not?" I smiled. We went up to her room and hung out for a while. We talked about literally everything.

She was super nice. I needed a friend.

We had lots in common. And got along well.

Jack and I were in my room playing fortnite. After one of the rounds ended, he turned and looked at me.

"Is there anything going on between you and my sister?" He asked. "No why?" I lied.

"I dunno. It seemed a bit suspicious." Jack shrugged. I felt guilty lying to him. "Hm. Well no, there isn't anything going on." I smiled.

"Alright." He said as a new round began.

It was around 8pm and all four of us were sitting in the living room watching a movie.

The three of them sat on the couch while I sat on the chair next to the couch. 

Throughout the movie Joey and I exchanged a couple flirtatious glances.

By the time the movie ended it was late and Joey and Jack were wanting to go home.

Anna and I walked them out. "Bye guys" Joey and Jack said leaving.

I looked at Joey and waved.

We closed the door and went upstairs to our rooms. "Night James" Anna said about to go into her room. "Night bug." I smiled as I went into my room.

We gave each other those nicknames a long time ago.

Shut the door quietly and took off my shirt and changed into pyjama pants and went to bed with Joey on my mind.
