0.9 - water guns

Joey and I were on our way to picking up Daniel and Anna. I was so excited.

We pulled up and Anna came running out. "Hi Joey!!" She said excited. "Hey Anna!" Joey smiled.

Then Daniel got in behind me. "Hey Jack. Joey." He grinned at Joey. She blushed and looked the other direction.

What the hell? Did Daniel like Joey? If so, why do I care?

Holy shit. Do I like Daniel? No. I can't. I'm not even gay. Wait maybe I am. Fuck. Shit. I don't know what to do.

I began driving. They blasted music and sang the whole way there.

I pretended to have a good time when in reality I had a million different thoughts running through my head.

I was so happy and in the moment. Joey looked as though she felt the same way. Smiling, laughing, having an awesome time.

We pull up to the beach and we already have all eyes on us from us blaring our music.

Also probably from people recognizing us.

We found a spot on the beach and set our stuff down there. Joey took off her top revealing her body.

I tried not to stare.

"Take a picture. It lasts longer." Joey said hitting me with her shirt. I took off my shirt.

Her jaw dropped. She tried to play it off though. "Take a picture. It lasts longer." I mimicked her.

"Oh shut up" she blushed. "You know you love me." I grinned. "You wish." She playfully rolled her eyes as she walked over to Anna who was getting ice cream.

My heart fluttered.

I dropped my shirt on the towel and sat down. It was a gorgeous day out.

Jack came and sat next to me. "You sure there's nothing going on between you and Joey?" He said.

"Positive dude. She's like a sister to me." I said. "Okay" he said trying to let it go.

Anna and Joey came and sat down with us. Joey sat next to me. Our arms were touching. It made my arm feel kinda tingly.

We all sat in the sand for a while talking. We discussed tour and how Joeys moving to LA in a couple weeks. I was excited.

It had already been almost 2 weeks. Time was going by really fasts.

It was about an hour later and we were all working on a huge sand castle.

"Hey Joey can I talk to you quickly?" I said standing up.

"Sure" she replied also standing up.

I was super nervous/confused as to what he wanted to talk to be about. We walked up towards the parking lot.

He opened the trunk that revealed water guns.

"I snuck these in." He said. "We're gonna go spray them." He grinned, making me smile.

"Okay" I beamed grabbing a gun.

They were both facing the water so they couldn't see us coming up behind them. "Shh" Daniel mouthed as we tip toed up behind them.

"One...two...three" he counted and we sprayed them. Making Anna squeal and jump up.

Daniel and I laughing. I sprayed Jack as he attempted to cover himself with his hands.

"Stop!" Jack laughed. I lowered the gun still laughing.

"I'm so gonna get you back." He said as he pointed a finger at me. I just grinned and looked back at Daniel.

I walked over to him and gave him a high five. "Good job partner in crime" I chuckled.

"You too, partner in crime." He said looking deep into my eyes with a cute smile on his face.

I could hear Anna and Jack arguing about the proper way to say 'egg'. They weren't paying attention to us.

"Do you know how badly I wanna kiss you right now?" He whispered.

"Save it for another night." I smiled. We were now only inches apart.

"Should we get back to them?" He asked. "Probably" I replied stepping back and turning around to Anna and Jack.

I sat next to Jack and helped him build the castle and just pretend like nothing happened.

We made a pretty awesome sand castle if you ask me.
