[JOEY STANFORD]

The next morning the boys and I all got up bright and early. (9am because the boys are lazy teenagers).

They're getting used to getting up early because of me. They hate me for it.

I made everyone breakfast for them because I'm a nice sister. Zach and Jack would not keep their eyes off each other. It was adorable though.

"Are you guys...okay?" Corbyn asked Zach and Jack. "Hm?" Jack asked not taking his eyes off Zach.

"Never mind" Corbyn grinned. "Corbyn what the hell did you do?" Jonah laughed. "Did you cast a love spell on them?" Daniel asked. "No that'd be Jonah." I stepped in.

There was a moment of silence where us four just studied Zach and Jack. Intrigued as to how nothing else caught their attention.

"Okay guys we're leaving now." I said clapping my hands. Catching everyone's attention.

"Where?" Jack asked like an idiot. "Our hike, dumbass." Jonah said. "Oh ya." Jack chuckled.

We all grabbed our bags and headed out. We called a cab since there wasn't really any Uber's out in Jasper.

I sat between Jonah and Daniel. Corbyn sat in the front with the driver and of course Zach and Jack got the very back, alone.

Thank god it was only a 5 minute drive.

We finally get to our starting point and get out.

Not even 30 seconds into the hike Jack trips and falls over a rock. "Oh my god, babe are you okay?" Zach says in a panic. "Guess I really fell for you Zach..." Jack says all flirty.

Zach kisses Jack before helping him up.

We continued our hike. It was I bit more cold and foggy out today. But I mean I would rather it be colder and foggy than it being super hot out.

We came across this small pond about halfway through the hike. Daniel was drawn to it for some strange reason. He kneeled down and just stared at it.

"Daniel? Are you okay?" I asked softly. Daniel began to tear up. "Guys keep going. We'll catch up." I whispered to the boys.

I sat down next to Daniel as a tear fell. "I had I friend..." he said. His voice cracking. "...her and I did everything together. She was my best friend..." Daniel said as more tears flowed down his face.

He wiped them off.

"One day her and I were trying to catch frogs near this pond by her house. She got too close to the water and fell in." Daniel ached still staring at the water.

"She drowned, Joey. And I couldn't save her. I didn't know how to swim either." Daniel said finally looking into my eyes.

"I'm so sorry" I said wrapping my arms around him. "I miss her..." he whispered. "It's okay Daniel. Think of it this way..." I said sitting up and looking at him.

"This little girl can be happy up in heaven. She's in a better place now. She's gotta be having an awesome time up there chillin with Jesus." I joked making Daniel crack up a bit.

"And just know, she misses you just as much as you miss her." I said being a bit more serious.

"I love you so much Joey." Daniel smiled. "I love you too." I said.

Later that night we all curled up in mine and Daniels room and had a mini slumber party. We had a bunch of snacks, cuddled and watched movies.

I couldn't be more happy to be with the best friends I could have ever asked for.

Daniel was super warm and I was really cold so I cuddled up to him in hopes to warm up. "Joey you're like ice." Daniel said holding my two hands.

"I know. Make me warm." I said. "Gosh fine." He said opening his arms for him to hold me.

I sank into his embrace and soon warmed up. I felt so happy when I was with him.
