When I got home all I wanted to do was collapse. But I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen tomorrow. I would have to go to work again no matter what. I needed the money. I needed this job.
But that would mean seeing all the four guys again, the ones who now think I'm a freak of nature. Probably because I am.
I hardly got 2 hours of sleep, when the next thing I knew I had to go. I didn't eat anything either, which made my stomach feel even worse than it did before.
By the time I arrived at work the bands weren't there yet but Callie and Ethan, and everyone was.
I went over to Callie to try to distract my mind.
"Hey girl," she greeted me as she started setting up the Merchandise table once again.
"Uh hey, how was your night last night?" I asked sort of curious.
"Really good," she said as she wiggled her eyebrows.
I wasn't really in the mood to chat so I nodded as she told me how wonderful her night was and blah blah blah.

The rest of the night went smoothly. I tried to avoid everyone as much as I could. I ended up staying in the sound box.
Ethan wasn't there so it wasn't too awkward.
The show went off without a hitch.
As I was leaving I tried to use the back door. I silently helped clean up and then dashed for the back door. As I was turning the corner I saw a familiar blonde quiff. I hid behind the wall hearing the boys pass while they went towards the direction of the dressing room.
I took a quick look. All their hair was wet so they probably just came out of the showers.
I ran to the door and then realized there was an alarm on it. We weren't supposed to use it unless of an emergency. The alarm was put in a couple months ago. Fuck. How was I supposed to get out?
I looked around the corner. I couldn't see and didn't hear the boys for a while. They probably made it to their dressing room. The venue was set up like a cirlce. Each end led to another. If I could just run to the front which would only be half way around the venue I could probably get to the front door with none of the boys seeing me.
The only problem is, the fastest route would be towards the boys dressing room. After midnight they close off one entrance to the exit. I know it's weird but some type of security was needed at the venue.
I took a deep breath as I started rapidly walking towards the exit. I was nearing the dressing room and I tried to keep as quiet as I could be. I could see the door of the dressing room as I started to speed up. I was almost past the dressing room, as a red ball flew out of the door almost hitting me in the face, a head popping out of the door soon after.
Dammit. I was so close.
The head belonged to Luke. I looked at him startled and motioned him to be quiet, Luke just got the ball and went back into the dressing room.
I tried to walk away as quickly as I could but I heard a voice in the other room stop me.
"Hey guys, I think i'm just gonna go walk around a little and explore. I'll see you later mates," Luke concluded.
He came through the door as he motioned with his head to follow him going to the left. I raised an eyebrow at him. I was about to run, but then he grabbed my wrist. There was no way I was escaping this. I gave in and followed him towards the stage.
"I didn't see you today," he started breaking the silence.
"You weren't meant to," I sort of mumbled looking down.
"What happened yesterday? When I came back you were gone. I looked all over for you." Luke said as he and I sat down on the stage.
I was playing with my fingers. "I had to go," I softly spoke.
"Look Mavery, I'm really sorry about what happened with you phone, I know," Luke began
I stopped him,
"Luke I'm not mad about the phone. I'm more embarassed that I ran out like a little diva when it happened. I was ashamed about my little outburst. I acted like a kid," I explained still looking at the dust on the stage.
"I overthink everything and I'm such a pathetic loser, and I- I-I don't know."
He took my chin and lifted it up,
"Mavery, you're not pathetic, you're just human. We all have our off days."
I wish everyday wasn't my off day.
I slowly nodded.
He gave me a smile.
"So even though we had this little heart to heart moment, I still have only known you for about 24 hours so how about we go and get a bite to eat or something unless you're a crazy rapist physco muderer?" He joked trying to lighten the mood.
I smiled. Except he's right about the physco in me. I am a little insane I guess.
"And since you're disconnected," he took out his phone and out it on the stage shutting it off, "I'm disconnected too."
