the second picture

Joven's pov

As we pulled up into the drive way we saw that someone had burned a giant 4 into our yard. I saw a picture sitting on the door step.

I brace myself for what I might see. I walk over and pick up the picture while lasercorn is calling 911. He called the detective next. I pick up the picture and there's a dead girl on this one to. Gosh that's terrifying. I flip it over and a message is written in red ink 4: well. I see you have been cherishing what little time you have left. On the front you saw my second victim. She was also my second kill. They get away but sooner or later I find them

I put the picture back where I picked it up and the police arrived along with the fire truck. Lucky us the house hadn't been caught on fire. The detective gathers all the evidence and she was talking "so you saw the second photo. Did anyone else"

"no I'm the only one" I shiver at the image burned in my head

She placed her hand on my shoulder "are you ok ? This kind of stuff is traumatizing"

I nod. She says "ok well I'm gonna go ahead and head out. You still have your police gaurding you so you should be safe. You might want to go check on your boyfriend. He looks terrified"

I thank her and she leaves. I go up to lasercorn and wrap my arms around him "don't worry everything is ok. We still have the cops guarding us"

I feel him untense in my arms "I'm scared babe. You were his last victim. Once the next two are caught and killed then he is comming for you"

"I know but I can't give in to the fear. When he comes he won't even get close enough to touch me" I tell him

He said "I love you. You are so strong. How do you stay so strong"

I smile "you keep me strong"

Our friends come up to us and boze says "well we are going to go ahead and leave. We will see you two at work"

Wes goes inside. The cops leave and we go in and go to bed. Lasercorn falls asleep and an hour goes by.

He begins screaming in his sleep. I know those nightmares all too well. I shake him awake and he bolts up and then he finally registers that he is ok. He lays back down beside me. He asked "how do you sleep through stuff like this"

I snuggle up to him and say "because I have you. You keep me centered"

A few more hours go by and the clock reads 4 o'clock am. I have to get up in four hours. Ugh. I finally begin to fall asleep. Lasercorn's body heat felt good. Finally I fall deeply asleep...

Lasercorn's pov

I get out of bed. Joven just fell asleep but after that nightmare I can't go back to sleep. I walk into the kitchen and saw the tv on in the living room. Wes was up and crying. I walk over and sit with him. He sniffles and wipes his eyes. I ask "what's wrong ?"

He sighs "nothing just relationship problems"

I question "I didn't even know you were in a relationship"

He laughs "yeah no one did. I didn't want to tell anyone because I wasn't sure about it at first"

I ask "ok so now what are your thoughts"

"I have been dating this guy. Yes surprise I'm bi. He said that he was married on our first date but its an open relationship. But I think hes lying about that part" he told me

I put my hand on his shoulder to comfort him "I'm sorry Wes. What makes you think he is lying ?"

He held his phone up to a Facebook post. His name is Connor penske. The post reads look at me being a good and loyal husband, cooking for him before he gets home

I ask "why do you need to be loyal if your in an open relationship"

He waved his hands in the air "exactly. Same question I had. not only that but when we first started dating he said I could come stay the night anytime I want but now everytime I ask he says that I can't because his husband is home. He won't text me unless his husband is out of the house"

I reply "oh buddy. He sounds like a lying ass hole"

Wes sniffles "I know. I think I need to break up with him but I don't have the courage to do so. I love him"

I ask "have you told him your feelings"

He replied "yes. He won't say it back"

I pull wes into a hug "it sounds like to me that he doesn't deserve you Wes. Leave that ass hole. How long have you been dealing with this ?"

He said "a few months. I didn't want to bother you or Joven because y'all have alot to handle already"

"It doesn't matter Wes we will still have time for our friends. Besides your problems are a great distraction"

He laughs and dries his eyes. I pull out of the hug and he asked "why are you up so late ?"

I reply "nightmares. And I couldn't go back to sleep so I came in here so I didn't wake Joven up"

He asked me "are you ok ? This cant be easy on you two"

I reply "he is staying strong. I'm trying but I can tell that he notices that I'm scared"

Wes said "it's ok to be scared. This is a crazy ass situation"

I reply "yeah I guess you're right"......
