the dinner from hell

Joven's pov

The rest of the week went by smoothly and before we knew it it was the night we were going to dinner with David's mom and sister. I planned to tell her tonight that I was hoping she would still have me as a patient.

I Heard that David is meeting his sisters boy friend tonight for the first time to. This is gonna be fun right ? I'm pretty nervous. We are going to some expensive restruant and I don't have anything nice to wear. Lasercorn comes into my room and sees that I'm stressing about alot. He comes up behind me and wraps his arms around me. He lays his head on my shoulder "baby what's wrong ? The outfit you picked out an hour ago looked fine"

I sigh "I'm nervous. What if something goes wrong tonight or your sister doesn't like me. I don't even know her name"

He laughs "relax babe. Everything will go fine. And her name is Darcy"

Darcy. What a pretty name. I'm still very tense. he kisses me on the back of my neck and moves his way to the side of it. It turned me on a good bit but he stops thankfully and continues "besides I'm sure she will like you as much as I do"

I giggle "well hopefully not that much"

He laughs "yeah I'd hate to have to whoop my sisters ass because she is trying to get my man"

I laugh alot. He really knows how to calm my nerves down. I turn in his arms and I'm face to face with him now. I plant one on his lips. It last pretty long and finally I pulled away "we have to go remember"

With that we finish getting ready And leave. We got to the restruant and met Mrs Elwood by the door. We got seated and Darcy arrived right after. I stand and shake her hand "hey I'm Joshua but call me Joven"

David smiles at my politeness. She introduces herself and we sit. David said "Darcy I thought your boyfriend was comming tonight"

She smiles "he is. He should be here soon. I know what he likes so I'll order for him"

The time went on a good bit. She was the first to break the silence "so I guess I should apologize for eavesdropping that day at the park. Cause technically I had been following you. It was only that day though. I promise"

I reach over and grab Lasercorn's hand and smile "it's ok. It worked out for the best"

He grins and starts blushing. He changes the subject "so tell us more about your date. You two have been dating for like 6 months right ? Whats his name ?"

She laughs and tells us about him "first off David don't be the overprotective brother ok. Anyways yes we have. His name is Elijah. He works at a bar"

David and I share a look. We both know how that goes. Just then she smiles behind us and her boyfriend comes and sits beside her. But David and I both have shocking looks on our face. It was EJ She was dating.

Oh wow a bigger realization hits. He cheated on her with me and another guy that he cheated on me with. He realizes who we were and we all just looked like we had seen a ghost. No one spoke. How were we supposed to tell her that he had been cheating behind her back with two other men. They get settled down and I do the best thing I can think of "lasercorn want to go to the bathroom with me?"

He nods and we get up and run for the bathroom. When we were in there, he texted his moms phone. She walked in even though it was the mens restroom. All I hear David say is "what the fuck. Did you know her boyfriend was Joven's ex"

She looked just as suprised. She looks at me questionably "he's EJ ? Oh my gosh. I think I'm gonna be sick"

I think we were all feeling a little ill. His sister walks in "what is going on ?"

We all panic, none of us knew what to say. Lasercorn told her "nothing. Joven just had a small anxiety attack. And you know moms his therapist so we called her in here to help"

Wasn't a bad lie. She believed it. she looked at me "are you ok ?"

I nod And said "y'all can go back out there. I just need a minute"

David asked "are you sure ?"

I told him yes. The trio go back out there and I stay in the bathroom for another 2 mins. Then EJ comes in. He spoke "so I guess this means you did have feelings for lasercorn"

I glare at him "guess this means I wasn't the only one being cheated on"

He gets closer and it makes me highly uncomfortable "you know I'll leave her right now if you say you want me back"

I shake my head "are you stupid ? Why would I ever want you back ?"

Before I could testify he pins me against the wall and kisses me. I knee him in the crotch and throw him on the floor. I walk out of the bathroom and David sees how pissed off I am. I pulled him away from the table "EJ just fucking kissed me. But I kneed that bastard. He's on the bathroom floor. You should probably tell your sister"

Before I knew it he was gone and heading for the bathroom door. Uh oh....

Lasercorns pov

All I heard was he kissed him and I bolted. Not only did he make a move on my man but he cheated on my sister again. I walk in and see him standing and looking in the mirror. He said "I'm guessing he told you about me forcing myself on him"

That's all it took for me to lose my shit. I ran at him and slammed him against the wall. I throw a good twenty punches at him. My hands were swollen and he had a busted nose, eye, lip and a bruised up face. Joven stands at the door. He pulls me off of him "baby he's had enough. Anymore and you will kill him"

My sister comes in with mom. She yells "David what the hell ? Baby are you ok ?" She yelled that last part at EJ

All I say is "why don't you ask that bastard what he does behind your back"

I continued "you remember me telling you about EJ the bartender ? Yeah well that's him. And He just tried to force himself on my boyfriend. So yeah I beat the hell out of him"

I said that last part and grab jovens hand. We leave...

Joven's pov

We get back to my house and Wes is sitting on the couch with Mari, flitz and sohinki.
They saw Lasercorn's hands and then saw blood. Mari said "what the hell happened to yall ?"

I sigh "it's a Long story"

Everyone followed us to the kitchen. I gave lasercorn an ice pack so it will take the swelling in his hands down. He looks at me longingly "what would I do with out you"

I grin "I don't know. Are you ok"

He asked "are you ok ? He tried to force himself on you"

I nod "yeah I'm ok. I hit him one good time before you did that"

He looks down at his hands "if you hadn't been there. I would have kept going. What if I had killed him"

I put my finger to his lips "shh it's ok. You didn't. That's all that matters"

Everyone is very confused but David looks at me "you make me a better"

I hug him tightly and he starts crying "hey what's wrong baby ?"

He asked through sobs "you don't think I am a monster ?"

I tilt his head to look me in the eyes "never. You aren't a monster. You're my lasercorn"

We tell everyone that we would explain tomorrow what happened tonight to them. We wish them all a good night and go to bed....
